A question about piercing needles and jewelry

Hi good evening ladies and gentlemen .If a apadravda (only half already have a 4g pa) is pierced with a 6g needle will a 4g barbell go thro the glands or will it have to be a 6 g barbell.. Thanks in advance for answers from Billy.
