Does going pass the 2nd tax apron actually matter?
I’ve read a lot about how it restricts flexibility. But if we are already a stacked team with solid core of White, Tatum, Brown, KP and Rob, with Al, Brogdon, Grant, PP, Hauser, Walsh, etc to fill out the roster.
Does it really matter if we cross the 2nd tax line since we most likely will not be needing any additional players anymore? If ownership is willing to spend and pay ridiculous amounts, the consequences don’t seem significant enough to actively try to avoid it, in exchange for potentially losing key role players.
For a championship or bust team like us with an already ready to compete roster, I think aside from ownership paying big bucks there really is no reason to be so concerned about the 2nd apron since we are an all in team now.
