Why is Kyoko here?

Forgive me if this is a dumb question but I was thinking about this recently and I want ya guys to help explain this to me plz.

Ok when we first see Kyoko arrive in Mitakihara City it was because Mami had recently died and the territory was now free for her. However we see in other timelines that Kyoko is still there and hanging around with the group even when Mami is still there and no one had died to leave the hunting grounds open.

So how did this happen? Is there another reason Kyoko came to the city I'm forgetting about?

Btw I do find it interesting that Kyoko is the only memeber of the Holy Quintet they does not have a immedate connection to the group (Madoka and Sayaka were already close friends before the show, Mami went to the same school and Homura transferred in) Always felt that made her stand out more in a coo way :)
