West Maui beaches

My wife and I had our honeymoon planned for October 10th, in Napili-honokowai. Our Airbnb said they are open, and encouraged us to come. We would love to support.

Having said that, most of our trip was to be spending time at the beautiful beaches in that region and just north of it (Kapalua bay beach, namalu bay, the bays where the Ritz Carlton, etc).

I have been waiting until last moment I can cancel my reservation to see if things have opened up. I am reading that most of those beaches are closed as per the governor mandate.

Since the trip was heavily based on that west/northern region mentioned above, it seems like the wise move would be to cancel our trip. I know nobody has a crystal ball about the future, but I'm guessing now those beaches are off limits as per the mandate, or are people still going into the waters there?

Any thoughts are appreciated.
