Early 2000's song male singer with lyrics "I wanted you to know, I wanted you to know"

Edit 2: The song I was thinking of was Killing Our Memories by Fable.

I don't remember anything else from this song except for the lyrics "I wanted you to know, I wanted you to know" in the middle of the song with the word "know" slightly drawn out. I can hear those 2 lines in my head, but I have no idea who sings it, what the song is or even any of the rest of the lyrics to try and figure it out. I think it was a punk or rock song. Really need help.
