Worried about build.

I'm a big soulsborne fan and I finally have a chance to play Eldenring but I'm worried since this is an open world game that I won't be able to find the cool or necessary stuff for my build.

Like what if I play a sorcerer but can't find a magic teacher? Should I look up online how to find what I need or does the game do a good job of leading you to what you need?
