Why are Indian men so obsessed with white women?

I am an Indian guy who married a British girl from London, she is of white race. I married my wife for many other reasons other than her being white.

I recently came to India for diwali celebration and to meet with friends and family. I saw that many men around my friend circle and some neighbour hood friends, they are so obsessed with my wife, they are treating her like a queen.

There was my school get together for diwali as well, I came with my wife there. My guy friends, all of them wanted to take pictures with her telling she is beautiful and if she have any sister, I had to avoid these questions as a joke in public.

They asked me stupid questions like I married her for sex only and she is rich and all. They said to me "bhai mereko bhi ek gori madam pata ke dede" I'm like dalaal hu kya bsdk. They all think said "bhai mujhe foreigner kaha se milegi" and they all wanted to just date and fuck her but said they would marry in an arrange marriage, due to high divorce rates there.
