Pacers prepared us for the Mavs

I know the Mavs have insane offensive talent in Kyrie and Luka. But can we just for a moment acknowledge how good the Pacers were.

Siakam averaged 23.3 ppg on 55% shooting this series. Along with 7 rebounds and 5 assist a game. He had stretches where he couldn’t miss from midrange.

Nembhard averaged 21 ppg and 8apg this series. On 54% from the field and 48% from 3.

Once Hali went down those averages went up to 28ppg and 10apg on 56% shooting

Hell even TJ Mconell average 15ppg on 50% shooting this series.


In many ways Nembhard and Siakam and even TJ’s games were on par with the Lukas and Kyries of the world. No they are obviously not that level but for the games we faced them they sure played like them.

Siakam and Nembhard may not be superstars. But they sure played like superstars and we withstood it and pulled out tough wins regardless. I feel like that will help us huge when we face the offensive superstars of the Mavs.
