Bad Boys: consumable product

Impressive action sequences. Actual humor that isn't awkward millennial snark. Likeable characters. High stakes. Competent men and attractive women who aren't sneering ball stompers. Almost no esg whatsoever. Feels like an early 2000s movie from before culture war esg infected nearly every single unit of entertainment content

Festuring: A cool white guy who isn't evil, an idiot, and isn't killed off. Only one, but it's a start.

Multiple men rescue women. No subversion. Old school heroics.

No rainbow shit

Jokes at the expense of all races. Not just dopey white guys

Caveats: there's a statistically improbable blonde blue eyed white robber in a corner store that broke immersion early on. Not a deal breaker

The confederat flag waving red neck scene was genuinely played for laughs and didn't wreak of Robin D'Angelo critical race theory audience lecturing.

Shockingly fun movie that feels like it couldn't be made in the 2020s, but here it is. Finally I can get back to consuming product
