I'm on ng7 and I'm trying to defeat Rellana without summons or the hound step, any advice?

I have finished the game several times and now the bosses kill me with about three hits even if I consume the boiled crab and I am trying to beat the dlc without summons and with my double katana build. Any advice or equipment?
