Rachel Trains Tobias [Short One-Shot]

Note: This one is for a friend but I felt like sharing for all. This is an AU for a popular series in the 90s/00s known as Animorphs. The characters are 18+ here.

Rachel stood on the edge of the forest clearing, her eyes focused on the sparring circle she'd drawn in the dirt. The afternoon sun filtered through the trees, casting dappled shadows over the ground. Tobias circled her warily, his human form a stark contrast to the red-tailed hawk she had grown so used to seeing.

"Come on, Tobias," Rachel taunted, her voice a mix of impatience and encouragement. "You need to take this seriously. The Yeerks aren't going to give you a break just because you're not in your hawk morph."

Tobias nodded, a serious expression etched into his youthful features. "I know, Rachel. But it's... different. Fighting like this."

Rachel lunged forward, her fist aimed at Tobias's midsection. He blocked it, but she followed up with a swift kick, her foot connecting with his thigh. Tobias winced but held his ground despite having his stance forcibly widened.

"Good.. but you need to be faster. The Yeerks won’t wait for you to catch up."

She moved again, her attacks a blur. Tobias dodged, but Rachel was relentless. She landed a solid punch to his shoulder, his hips turning to lessen the blow. Once again his stance shifted wide to keep balance; Rachel pivoted, bringing her knee up hard into Tobias's groin. He doubled over, a grunt of pain escaping his lips.

"Rachel!" he gasped, his hands instinctively going to his aching eggs.

Rachel didn't let up. She grabbed his shoulders, she pressed her advantage. The young man reached for her arms, trying to push them off his shoulders but the opening was more than enough for Rachel to rocket her knee up between his legs once again. The thud rang like a gong in his boy brain, sinking to his knees with a disgruntled whimper.

"Tobias, you have to be ready for anything! You can't leave yourself open like that."

He straightened slowly, his face pale. "I know. It's just... that hurts, Rachel."

She rolled her eyes but softened her tone. "I know it does. But you need to learn to protect yourself. The Yeerks will exploit any weakness, and you can't afford to have one. Especially not there."

Tobias would nod as he staggered back to his feet, determination replacing the pain in his eyes. "Okay. Let's go again."

Rachel stepped back, giving him space. "Ready?"

Tobias nodded, and they began again. This time, Tobias was quicker, more agile. He blocked Rachel’s punches and dodged her kicks, but Rachel was still faster. She swept his legs out from under him, and as he hit the ground, she aimed another knee at his groin. This time, Tobias managed to roll away, avoiding the impact.

"Better," Rachel said, a hint of pride in her voice. "But you need to be faster. You need to anticipate."

They continued, Rachel's attacks relentless, Tobias’s defense improving with each round. She could see the frustration and determination in his eyes, and she knew he was pushing himself to his limits. She feinted left, then right, and finally brought a hard hoof up between his legs with the speed of a mare. Morphing her leg into a young horse at the moment she intended to strike gave her the added speed and power to flatten poor hawkboy's nuts against his pelvis. Tobias crumpled to the ground, his face contorted in pain. His voice squeaked pitifully as his feet kicked at the dirt beneath him, tears swimming a blur through his vision.

"Damn it, Rachel."

Rachel knelt beside him, her expression a mix of concern and frustration. "Tobias, you have to learn this. I’m not doing this to be mean. I’m doing this because I care about you. I don’t want to see you hurt, not by me, and definitely not by the Yeerks."

Tobias looked up at her, his pain-filled eyes meeting hers. "I know. I’ll get better."

Rachel nodded, helping him to his feet. "You will. And I’ll be here to make sure of it. Now, take a breather. We’ll go again in five."

Tobias was still catching his breath after the intense training session. His muscles--and balls--ached. He was thankful for Rachel taking the time to train him and the fact he could still stand at all was a testament to his improvement. It meant he was getting stronger, more resilient. He needed to be, especially with Rachel pushing him so hard.

He wiped the sweat from his forehead and headed towards their camping equipment, needing to grab a towel from his bag. As he found the clutch of trees where the group has nestled themselves away from socirty, he stopped dead in his tracks. Rachel was there, halfway through changing her clothes. She had just slipped out of her tank top, her back to him, revealing the toned muscles he'd come to admire so much.

"Tobias!" Rachel's voice was a sharp bark, cutting through the silence. She spun around, eyes blazing with a mixture of surprise and anger.

"I'm sorry! I didn't know—" Tobias started, his voice stumbling over the words. He backed up, hands raised in a gesture of apology.

Before he could finish his sentence, Rachel moved. Her body, still damp with sweat, was a blur of motion. Her barefoot came up with the precision of a dancer and strength of a warrior that spoke of years of training, connecting squarely with Tobias' groin. The impact was an explosion of agony, a burst of pain radiating through to his core. The contents of his sac animated like juggling balls in a circus before stretching across the top of Rachel's foot.

Tobias doubled over, gasping for breath. His hands instinctively moved to cradle his injured manhood, the agony overwhelming every other sensation. He dropped to his knees, unable to find the words to express the mix of pain and embarrassment flooding through him.

Rachel stood over him, her expression a blend of anger and something softer—concern, maybe. "What the hell were you thinking, Tobias?" she demanded, though her voice had lost some of its initial edge.

"I...I didn't mean to..." Tobias managed to choke out, his voice strained.

Rachel's eyes softened slightly as she knelt beside him. "You need to be more careful," she scolded, her tone gentler now. "Not just in battle, but in everything. You're too important to be this careless." She offered a reluctant smile, feeling rather pleased with herself. Maybe she was actually starting to like roughly handling Tobias' balls?

"I know. I'm sorry, Rachel. I really am."

"It's okay. Just...be more aware, okay?"

Rachel sighed at the sad state of the boy, helping him up to his feet. Tobias nodded in response, grateful for her support. The swollen nuggets of pain throbbed with each movement, nausea was just another layer of his suffering. "Yeah. I will."

"Good. Now, let's get out of here before anyone else shows up and makes this even more awkward."
