Super Nuts Chapter 14: Awakening

“What the fuck is going on out there?” Arlo mutters with a hint of panic as he hears yet another fierce bolt of lighting strike the ground with tremendous force. *At least they’re not hitting the tree.* He tries to stay optimistic despite the growing sense of unease taking root in the pit of his stomach. One minute the night was cool and still, the next there’s a fucking hurricane. That’s not normal. *There must be a super out there that can control storms. Who has this much power though?* He tries to go through the list of storm-related supers he knows, but as far as he’s aware none of them are capable of generating this much power so quickly. Not that he can fully comprehend the power of the storm outside anyways. He can’t even really see anything inside his barrier of hardened branches as he slowly moves closer and closer towards his escape over the fence. *Should be over it now. Hopefully I don’t have a whole hero squad waiting for me now*. He takes a deep breath and prepares to open up the branches and drop down. *Here goes nothing!*

A moment later, he’s soaring through the storm-filled sky, rain striking against his skin like bullets and lightning flashing all around him. *Huh?* Is all he can think as his brain tries to catch up to how he went from the safety of his branches to soaring at high speed through the air. The world feels like it’s moving in slow motion as his mind kicks into overdrive. His gaze first lands on the tree still bursting from the top of the house. His bright green eyes follow the intertwining mass of branches that formed his escape tunnel until he reaches the end, which has been ripped from the tree forcefully. Wood shrapnel and larger pieces of the branch-structure are flying in the air around Arlo. His gaze then turns from the destruction of his escape plan towards the floating figure down on the ground, so far away and looking so small from his vantage point. The figure has two streaks of electric blue in her billowing dark hair, energy crackling across the streaks. As his eyes move a little further down, he meets her glowing white eyes. Instantly, his entire body shivers. Goosebumps break out across his skin. Instinctively, he recognizes that he’s feeling the same sensation he’s seen on the faces of the people he’s about to kill. **Terror.**

\*\*\*

Rhea can’t help the smirk that sneaks up on her lips. The smirk that quickly transforms into a full grin. The grin of someone who is on the cusp of getting their perfect revenge. *I won't kill you Arlo, but I’ll make you wish you were dead.* Controlling the storm comes naturally to her. Like she’s been doing it her whole life. Like the storm is a part of her that’s always been there, just hidden until now. Between breaths, she manipulates the charged particles in the air and creates white hot light lightning. The full force of nature’s fury is within her grasp and she easily guides it’s path streaking through the night sky. The beautiful, majestic lightning carves a heated path through the dark sky, illuminating the terrified man soaring through the air. His legs spread wide, he’s helpless to do anything as it slams between his legs with the force of an explosive bomb. His mouth opens wide to scream, but whatever sound he produces is concealed by the crack of thunder that follows the lightning’s devastation of his sack. *Hope you like roasted nuts Arlo, ‘cus you have a pair now!* The gleeful girl soars after the squealing man as he’s launched through the sky once more towards a rather advanced looking car parked on the street. As she pursues, she feels salty water slam against her cheek. The tears of a busted boy.\*\*\*Steel’s ears perk up as he hears a distant alarm over the roaring thunder and yelling guards. “You hear that?” he asks the woman currently curled up under his heavy metal frame. When his instincts screamed danger, he dove on top of his partner to protect her from the shattering glass and debris that had pelted everyone near the windows when the intense lightning struck outside. *Whatever super outside is making quite the mess.* He had been judging their control for a while while covering Quicksilver.

“I can’t hear anything besides your annoying breathing!” She responds angrily as she slams her knee into his balls. Again. She smiles as her efforts earn her another groan. *Never thought I’d have a guy using his body to shield mine…* she gives his steel testes another knee to distract herself from the heat rising to her face as she looks anywhere but the handsome steel face staring at her with concern. Even as that handsome face scrunches up again rather humorously as he groans once more.

“Can you stop doing that! It still hurts you know,” he complains gruffly with a hint of genuine anger in his voice. Yet he doesn’t reposition his body away from her. *I need to keep her protected in case lightning strikes the house again.* Her amused face doesn’t show even a hint of remorse as she tilts her head innocently.

“Doing what?” she asks with another knee to the nuts.

“Ugh” he groans again, realizing that he’s never going to win this battle. “The car alarm went off. Let’s go check it out,” he changes the subject away from his aching balls and slowly gets off the smaller woman, staying ready to jump on her again at a moment’s notice.

Lena’s face turns serious as she gets back to her feet. *Thanks for the cover Steel.* She says words of thanks in her mind that she’ll never say out loud to the man who got her into this whole hero mess in the first place. “I’ll check it out. Give me a few seconds,” before Steel can get a word in, she disappears in a blur as she dashes through the destruction all around the house, stepping carefully over some guards screaming and bleeding over the ground from the glass, around the massive tree that had somehow sprouted in the house, and out a hole in the wall. *Some storm out here.* Her hair all stands up in response to the lingering electricity she can feel and the scent of Ozone filling her nostrils. The surroundings pass her in a blur as she charges towards the car which thankfully had remained where they left it. Probably thanks to the incredible weight of the car and all its enhancements.

The first thing she notices as she gets closer is the woman with streaks of electric blue energy in her hair standing a little ways away from the car. *That girl is strong. She smells like the storm.* Her instincts immediately tell her to proceed with caution as she slows down a little out of detection range. Her eyes then travel south to the man laying face up below her. *Is she…?* Lena appraises the scene for a moment as a smirk slowly emerges on her face. She stifles a giggle as she spots the black orbs flattening under the woman’s foot. *Those things look like charcoal!* Feeling laughter bubbling up, she quickly dashes back towards the house and lets her amusement out on the way. *I’ll tell Steel and get him back as fast as I can. Probably not fast enough to save that boy’s sack though! What a shame!* Once she does make it back to steel, she has a bit of difficulty explaining the situation through her giggles.

\*\*\*
Arlo can’t believe it. Rhea, one of his girls, has become this… ***monster.*** Yet disbelief is near the bottom of the list of emotions he was currently experiencing. The first and foremost emotion, the one quickly covering up all the rest, was absolute, unbearable **agony.** His balls felt like they were in a frying pain as electricity still seemed to crackle in his sack, frying his testicles. Most people would think lightning to the balls would be so intense it’d just numb the entire area. Too bad that’s not the reality. In fact, it was more like the electricity unlocked new levels of sensation in his testicles. Sensations that balls weren’t meant to feel. Pain so far off the scale that it really really deserved its own name. A new pain scale that could only ever be used by males. The smell of his own burning nuts filled his nose and made him sick to his stomach. He’d certainly never forget that smell. Or the pain.

The second most intense emotion Arlo was feeling was, of course, terror. The woman he had abandoned to die was currently standing on whatever was left in his sack and flattening those remains. Every masculine instinct in his body was screaming a single message over and over again through his mind. ***PLEASE DON’T LET HER BREAK MY BALLS!***

“R-r-rhea!! I-I’m so glad you’re ok!” he screams out in a high pitched whine, unable to even try to contain the tears spilling down his cheeks. He peeks up at her expression to see if she believes him. What stares back at him are pure white orbs of glowing light that promise anything but mercy. He feels his balls flatten even more under his foot in response to his lie. He quickly abandons this strategy and turns to another one that might work. “PLEASE PLEASE I’M SORRY RHEA I’M SORRY DON’T HURT ME DON’T BREAK MY BALLS I’M SORRY!” Sobbing, screaming, and pleading for his balls. Truly the most male instinct of all.

\*\*\*As for Rhea, her thoughts on the matter can be summed up with a single word. ***Pathetic.*** *Is this really the guy who had been playing me like a puppet for so long? Is this the guy I had trusted so much? Are these orbs under my foot really what men make such a big deal out of?* Rhea can’t help but laugh at how ridiculous the entire situation is. Her laughter echoes across the empty air which had gone quiet since the storm began to die down. None of the guards were stupid enough to chase after the force of nature that was Rhea, and had instead made the smart decision to stay quiet and observe from as far away as they could get.

“You left me to die, Arlo. You controlled me for months. I deserve compensation,” she explains with the smug smile of someone in absolute control as she idly rolls his squishy testicles under her foot, enjoying the hilarious expressions and noises she could achieve from the man so effortlessly. “I think I’ll take those nuts between your legs. I already roasted them anyways,” she finishes with a wide grin, letting more of her weight fall on her right foot and compressing those roasted, charred nuts even flatter. *Your suffering is just beginning, Arlo.*

A branch snaps in the distance. She quickly turns her head towards it, ignoring the pleading squeals from the man attached to the balls underfoot. Her vision settles on two figures quickly striding towards her. The larger and more intimidating figure is a hulking mass of metal easily standing well over six feet tall. Her gaze moves to the woman beside him who looked much less intimidating at around her own height and with a similar physique. Both of them were decked out in all black like they were on a stealth mission or something. *They’re not sneaking up on me. They’re approaching me casually. Do they not know I caused that storm? No… I can tell I’m glowing a bit or something. They must know. But they’re not scared. Supers? Heroes? Villains? Better be cautious.*

“Stop! Who are you two!” she shouts at the figures. The steel man stops first and holds out a hand to stop his companion, who rolls her eyes and looks rather annoyed by the gesture.

“We’re heroes from the Hero Association. You might’ve heard of me. I go by Steel,” the man explains with his hands in front of him, palms facing her in a gesture of pacifism. “Step away from that guy and let’s talk,” he offers evenly, his eyes dropping away from the threat to observe the man. He can’t help feel a shiver run through his metal sack as he realizes she’s standing on his balls. His pants have a singed hole at the crotch, leaving his shrinking dick and burnt black hairless balls exposed to the air. It wasn’t hard for Steel to connect the dots and realize the storm wielding woman must’ve zapped his sack with lightning. He tries not to think about what a lightning bolt would do to his own conductive balls.

When she doesn’t immediately comply, Steel’s eyes narrow and he takes another step forwards, dropping his hands to his sides. “If you don’t comply, we’ll have to use force to subdue you. You are an unknown super who has caused havoc. I won’t hesitate to take you down if you’re an enemy.”

The hulking metal man doesn’t scare Rhea. Nothing could scare her the way she feels right now. Instead, another emotion bubbles up to the surface of her mind. Indignation. “Stay out of this, hero. Or I’ll make you. This is between me and Arlo,” she replies, her tone making it clear that she means business.

Steel takes a deep breath as he considers his next action. *If possible, I want to take her in without a fight.* “I’d rather not fight if we don’t have to, but I’m afraid I can’t just turn the other way. I’m a hero. I have to get involved here. Please understand,” he tries once more to pacify the clearly angry woman. He takes another step forward cautiously.

A bolt of lightning strikes directly in front of Steel’s foot as he sets it down in front of himself one more time. “One more step and the next one is aimed at your nuts,” she threatens once more. Rhea pivots on her feet, grinding her heel into Arlo’s nuts as she does so, eliciting another shrill scream and more tears, as she turns her body to fully face Steel.

Steel glances sideways at Quicksilver, who responds with a feral grin. She’s always looking for a fight, and this one seems fun. *No nuts to kick, but oh well. It’ll be nice getting an actual challenge.*

After getting confirmation that his partner is on the same page, Steel quickly decides to take action. He breaks out into a full sprint and charges at the woman whose glowing eyes lock onto him.

A moment later, a fist slams into Rhea’s cheek and sends her sprawling away as Quicksilver flashes into existence beside her. The speedster seemingly pops in and out of existence as she continues her high speed combination attacks Rhea, keeping her in the air and entirely overwhelmed by the super-speed barrage.

Rhea struggles to form a thought as each attempt is interrupted by yet another painful high-speed blow. Instinctively, her arms are protecting her head as the rest of her body gets bruised and battered. Her blood boils as electric anger shoots through her body and she manages to call upon her powers to summon a bolt of lightning that strikes beside her with enough force to break the asphalt and send bits of the road flying.

*That was close!* Quicksilver breathes a sigh of relief as she barely sends her body tumbling away from the powerful explosion of nature and into the arms of Steel, who happened to be directly in her path of escape.

“You ok?” he asks with concern as he helps her back to her feet and puts his body between her’s and Rhea.

“Worry about yourself, you damn storm rod,” Quicksilver snaps back, although she’s secretly grateful for his stability as she tries to reorient herself and clear the buzzing in her ears.

Rhea takes this small break to summon powerful winds below herself to lift herself into the air, safe from any further attacks. Her gaze moves between the two self-declared heroes, before quickly glancing over at Arlo to make sure he hadn’t escaped. *Still right where I left him, sobbing over his roasted nuts.* She grins at the pleasant sight, before her grin turns more menacing as she takes a deep breath of the electrified air around her. Her gaze locks into Quicksilver once more and begins channeling her power to call bolts of lightning down onto the woman’s head. Or at least that’s her intention, but the speedster is able to run in a blur as she dodges each and every bolt that Rhea calls down upon her. “STAND STILL!” Rhea screams in frustration as she attempts to seek retribution on the platinum haired woman.

In the meantime, Steel runs over to the Steel Mobile and searches the trunk. Inside a compartment there’s two stacks of metal discs around the size of a round shield. One stack has discs with a straight, sharp edge at the end. Clearly these would be deadly if hit at high speed. The other stack has identical discs, but these have sides around the circumference of the disc so that a person hit by the disc would endure blunt trauma instead of getting sliced in half. He grabs three of the non-lethal discs and runs back into the street. In her frustration, Rhea is entirely focused on zapping Lena, giving Steel time to carefully take aim. He places two of the discs at his feet and grabs the last one tightly in his large right hand. He twists his hips and winds up his body, maximizing his torque, before releasing all the stored energy in an explosive throw, sending the metal disc flying towards the airborne woman.

*She’s so fucking fast!* Rhea wants to scream. She can’t hit the damn girl! *I’m trying to launch it where she’s going to be, but nothing is working!* She decides on a different approach. Instead of one lightning bolt at a time, what if she summons a massive group of lightning down at the same time? Surely she'll catch the speedster in that blast. With that thought in mind she begins channeling her power. Feeling the electricity in the air around her. Feeling her body heat up as energy churns in her body. Another deep breath. Her lungs filled with the electrically charged air. Her eyes open as she feels the air around her vibrate from her power.

*Time t-!* Her thoughts are cut off as Steel’s non-lethal disc slams into her ribs. All the air explodes from her lungs leaving her unable to even scream as agony courses through her body and she begins falling from the sky, all her power slipping from her grasp. It feels like several of her ribs are cracked and breathing becomes a struggle. The ground rushes closer and closer. *Come on Rhea, come on,* ***COME ON!*** Summoning all her willpower, she manages to push through the pain and halt her descent only a couple yards above the waiting arms of Steel, who had moved to catch and capture her. She glares at him angrily, sending a bolt of lightning between his legs with the small bit of energy she can control through the pain.

*Damn! Almost had her!* Steel looks on with a frown as Rhea barely catches herself out of reach. His disappointment only lasts a moment before a sudden jolt in his metal balls turns his thoughts away from Rhea and towards the crackling energy dancing across his conductive sack. “Ghuaaa, fuck!” he shouts from the pain as he resists the urge to fall to his knees. He responds by throwing another disc at Rhea, hoping to catch her while she’s still disoriented, but somehow she manages to summon another gust of wind to knock her body out of the way.

Rhea wants to insult the metal hero, but just breathing is difficult enough. So she keeps her insults inside her head and sends more lightning bolts down onto him. *At least this guy can’t run away.* She enjoys watching the electricity dance across his steel skin as he grits his teeth and endures the pain. *I’d love to get another nutshot, but he’s covering up now…* She’s disappointed, but each additional zap and subsequent groan makes her feel better.

Steel holds his final disc above his head like a shield, but Rhea easily directs the lightning away from the shield and towards his exposed body. He can’t outrun the bolts, so his only choice is to endure. *Come on Lena, help me out already!*

The mentioned villain-turned-hero had made her way into a three story building nearby and climbed into the slanted roof. “Here goes nothing…” she mutters as she steps back towards the edge of the roof and looks up Rhea struggling to channel enough power to really hurt Steel. Despite the incredible danger, the speedster grins. She doesn’t hesitate. Sprinting as fast as she can she uses the slanted roof as a ramp, her feet leaving the comfort of the ground as she leaps towards Rhea. Her super speed enhanced run-up and jump allowed her to leap so high into the air that she approaches Rhea from above, a place she most certainly is not looking.

*Shit, did I overshoot?* For a brief moment Lena is worried that she jumped too high and is going to miss the storm controller. Yet, despite the momentary fear, it is unfounded and after about 6 tension filled seconds of air travel Lena lands right on target.

“Gotcha bitch!” Lena yells out triumphantly as her arms wrap around the body of the slightly shorter woman, who is facing away from her.

“Wha?!” Rhea gasps out in shock as the unexpected woman clings to her. The arms that wrap around her chest press against Rhea’s broken ribs and send fresh waves of agony coursing through her body.

*Can’t breath, can’t breathe,* ***CAN’T BREATHE.***  Winds tear at Lena, trying to rip her off of Rhea as the two plummet towards the grass a little ways away from the street. Lightning crackles and explodes in the air near the falling women. A weaker bolt lands directly onto Lena’s back, eliciting a loud “FUCK THAT STINGS!” from her. Yet she holds tightly, knowing that a slip could easily prove fatal.

Rhea’s vision grows dim as her brain fails to receive the oxygen it needs. She falls faster and faster, barely able to even soften the blow as the two women slam into the dirt. The force of the fall finally knocks Lena off, and she rolls several yards away from the fallen storm controller.

Color returns to Rhea’s world as she gasps in a large breath of air as soon as the constriction on her chest ends. A second gasp follows, then a third and a fourth. Her starved lungs pump rapidly to circulate oxygen through her body. Once capable of complex thought, Rhea sits up quickly, groaning in pain from her busted ribs, and wildly searches for the supers trying to hurt her. She spots the blonde one lying motionless at the end of a trail of torn up grass and dirt, while the hulking metal man is swiftly running towards Rhea with a determined expression.

Rhea quickly tries to get to her feet, but stumbles back to the ground with another moan of pain. She tries to use the wind to get back into the air, but her lack of balance makes that fruitless as well. *Not good!* She desperately tries to think of a solution while summoning the last remnants of her power to charge up another bolt of lightning. Rhea doesn’t have time to second guess. Steel will be upon her in just a few seconds. Her hand leaves its position of support at her side and points up at Steel’s head before a bolt of lightning directly strikes his forehead, the electricity crackling as it dances across his shiny skin. It slows him down, but only for a single step. With a quick shake of his head, he takes a wide step forwards once more. Perfectly setting himself up for her true attack.

Her eyes drop from the electricity still crackling across his face down to the bulge in his tight black pants. The same bulge that brought about Arlo’s downfall. A smirk appears on her lips as she unleashes the full fury of the storm one last time. A bolt of lightning just as sizable as that first strike that seared her soul explodes the air between the newly awakened super and the veteran. It’s impossible to see exactly where it landed in the world of white, but Rhea knows she hit her targets. A woman always knows when she gets a man’s balls, and she got Steel’s perfectly. Feminine instinct is the first signal that the bolt fried his metal balls. The second signal is the high-pitched shriek that can be heard even over the clap of thunder that reveals the sheer magnitude of the lightning bolt’s power.

“GHUWAAAAAA!!!” Steel screams like a schoolgirl as 300 million volts of electricity land directly onto his scrotum. The conductive metal of his sack transfers the electricity between that scrotum and the metal balls within. Arcs of electricity bounce painfully between both testicles, overloading every single nerve within. The hero of steel is thrown off his feet, soaring through the air towards his car. His face is a picture perfect representation of what happens to even the most masculine of men when their testicles are struck with enough force. His eyes are crossed with tears leaking from the corners. His mouth hangs open dumbly in a scream of pure agony while drool escapes his lips.

***CLANG!!!*** The thundering sound of metal impacting metal rings out into the air as Steel’s 1000 pound body slams against the Steel Mobile, denting one of titanium doors and shaking the entire vehicle. Although the impact is quite unpleasant, Steel doesn’t even really feel it. It’s like a drop in the ocean that is the agony coursing through his body from the electrified twin origins of his masculinity. His body violently shakes and trembles. His thoughts entirely focused on his balls and how he might possibly save them. His hands cradle his sack, which does manage to disperse some of the electricity from his scrotum to his hands, but all the electricity that’s already within his scrotum, shocking the testes within, stubbornly remains there.

*Another pair down.* Rhea grins as she floats towards the collapsed hero. Another man who thought he could control her. Another man who thought wrong. Another man whose balls were going to pay the price.

She quickly glances behind her towards the impending threat which was the speedy woman working with the metal man, but she remained motionless in the dirt. Likely knocked out. She takes another step towards Steel, before gasping in pain as her broken ribs send another spike of pain through her body. *Fuck that hurts. New plan.* She knows that finishing off the man of steel would take more fight than she has left. So she instead focuses back on her original target. Or rather, her original targets. Her gaze locks onto the two hairless, charred black balls that belonged to the man who certainly no longer deserved them.

Rhea limps her way over towards Arlo, who somehow remained conscious despite all the agony flooding his brain. His eyes are clouded over, only focused on staring at the orbs that once were his pride and joy. *Boys can only ever think about their balls.* Rhea can’t help but laugh at just how much those danglers held them back.

She takes another step towards him. Then another. On the third, his gaze shot up from his balls to her face. His expression is the picture of terror. A squeal that made Steel’s sound manly by comparison escapes his lips as he tries to scoot backwards, only to squeal again as the melted skin of his scrotum resisted the motion. His balls were stuck to the street. He was trapped. “PLEEEASEEE NOOOOOO!!!” he sobs as Rhea takes yet another step forwards.

It warms Rhea’s heart to see Arlo’s fear stricken face. To take in the sight of his already-ruined balls. She couldn’t wait to finish the job. Another step towards him, moaning slightly as her ribs press against her lungs. Then, she hears a strange wooshing sound. She turns her head towards it, only to catch sight of a giant net flying towards her from the direction of the massive steel car. Rhea tries to leap away, but her injuries make the attempt futile. The net wraps around her body before she even has a chance.

“Huaagh!!” she cries out into the night as the net knocks her off her feet. Somehow, she manages to twist her body so she lands on her back instead of her side or chest, both of which would’ve been much more painful for her cracked ribs. The storm has died down by now, with the only evidence of the storm that once was being a lingering drizzle. The mentally and physically exhausted newly awakened super stares up at the moon as the rain lightly splashes against her face and body. *At least I got to unleash my storm.* She turns her head slightly to get another look at Arlo’s roasted nuts. *And ruin that asshole’s sex life.* The thought brings a smile to her face.

She waits motionlessly for the Steel man to recover from the lightning to his nuts and capture her. A minute passes. Then another. She glances over at the metal man, who remains on his knees cradling his balls while rocking back and forth. She can still see some electric sparks flashing on his crotch. *He’s not getting up!* For what feels like the 10th time tonight, Rhea celebrates just how pathetic testicles are. *I can get out of here!* Hope returns to her body. She desperately claws at the net, searching for a way to untangle herself. Her hands are slippery from the rain. The net is enhanced with steel fiber, making it impossible to tear any specific thread. She claws and she tugs, but it’s useless. She’s stuck.

Just as she’s moments from giving into despair, a veil of platinum blonde hair blocks her view of the glowing full moon. Blue eyes stare down at her, and below them a teasing smirk.

“Need some help, sparky?” Quicksilver asks with a smug grin plastered on her face.

“Y-you’re going to help me?” Rhea replies, disbelief clear in her voice.

Lena holds out a hand, halting Rhea’s hopes. “Only if you promise to help me in return,” she promises resolutely. She holds up her ankle and points at the device strapped around it. “You gotta use one of your lightning bolts to fry this damn thing. It’s the only reason I’m working with  metal balls over there,” she nods over at the metal man who was glaring in their direction while maintaining his hold on his sack and twitching. The sight causes Lena to burst out laughing once more. “Great shot on his nuts by the way. I wish I was awake to witness it,” she sighs in regret, before focusing back on the task at hand. “So, we helping each other out?” Lena asks once more, meeting Rhea’s electric blue eyes.

*It’s not like I have a choice.* “Agreed. I’ll zap that monitor off you as soon as you get this damn net off of me,” Rhea quickly agrees, sparing another glance at Steel and hoping those weak balls would keep him down.

“If you don’t, I’m gunna kick your ass,” Quicksilver threatens with a smirk before going to work trying to unravel the net. “It’s obvious you’re in no condition to fight now,” she adds, before silently concentrating on the net. A few seconds later, after a few hundred high speed attempts, Lena groans in frustration. “This damn net!” she stomps her foot, sending splashes of water onto Rhea. “Hang on, I think there’s a remote in the car or something. Let me go check.”

Rhea disappears from view, appearing beside Steel for a second, dodging his weak swipe at her, and grabbing his keys. She unlocks the Steel Mobile, rummages around in super speed, tosses the keys back at Steel (hitting him right between the eyes and giggling about it), then reappears beside Rhea all in about 10 seconds.

“Found it, let’s get that net open,” she says cheerfully before pressing a button on a small remote. Immediately, the net spreads open and Rhea is able to easily lift it up and over her body. She breathes a sigh of relief. A deep breath as a free woman once more. No longer enslaved by Arlo. Not trapped in any damn net.

“Don’t get too happy, yet, you still need to get this monitor off of me,” Quicksilver reminds her, pushing her face up in front of the slightly shorter woman’s and locking eyes.

“O-of course, just give me a second and hold your leg out,” Rhea stutters back in reply, before looking down at Lena’s extended leg. Rhea takes a deep breath and reaches deep inside for the last vestiges of her power. Her body heats up once more as electricity bubbles in her blood. She summons one final lightning bolt, painting the street white once more as it connects directly with the ankle monitor. Before the clap of thunder that follows can even be heard, Quicksilver has already torn the smoking and destroyed monitor off of her ankle and tossed it at Steel. The thunder booms.

“I’M FREE! NO MORE HERO BULLSHIT! HAHAHAHA! TAKE THAT, METAL BALLS!” Rhea can’t help but smile as her unexpected savior celebrates her own freedom. She wasn’t exactly sure of the details, but it seemed like the metal guy was holding this woman captive somehow and forcing her to be a hero. Rhea could relate to being used by a man. Being exploited.

Part of her wanted to dance alongside the platinum haired woman. To celebrate both her freedom and her amazing new powers. But more than that, she wanted to just collapse into her bed back at her Grandmother’s house. With that in mind, she silently takes to the skies once more, afraid that she would be risking her freedom with every second she stays on the ground. She stares down at the shrinking figure of Arlo. The man who she once called her boyfriend. The man who violated her very mind. Her gaze drops to his once proud testicles. He used to talk about them a lot. How he had the balls to do what other men didn’t. *Guess those balls weren’t worth much.* A giggle escapes her lips. She takes a final look at the other woman experiencing the joys of freedom, still dancing in the rain directly in front of the kneeling metal man, before turning her gaze towards home.
