Come See Our Human (The Alien's Plaything: Chapter Eight)
Kalin lay motionless on the ground. His mind raced as he tried to keep the new anxieties at bay, but it was so hard to tell what was cause for genuine alarm. At first he had been worried about being taken away from Zara, then worried about how Zara would react to how he’d revealed that and whom he’d revealed that to. How would Pixie and Vizora tell Zara? What spin would they put on it? How will it all play with Zara?
The main door slid open and Kalin felt a wave of relief rush over him. He would have his answers soon. His eyes remained closed, Zara would certainly speak before she did anything.
“This is the alien,” came the voice from the doorway. Decidedly not Zara
Kalin’s eyes shot open. Rather than Zara, he saw Zania standing with an unfamiliar Viridian. This one was about the same height as Zania, though more slender. Her shirt and shorts appeared purposeful for a specific job, with numerous pockets and attached devices. Kalin climbed to his feet as they approached him and backed away, though their height gave them an undeniable speed advantage, even at the pace of a leisurely stroll across the laboratory.
As they neared, Kalin noticed that this new Viridian had a few wrinkles, similar to ones a human might have in their forties. Well placed, of course, he was yet to meet a Viridian whose beauty didn’t leave him awe-struck. Perhaps she was older than some of the other Viridians, but without knowing more about the life-spans and ageing processes of Viridians, it was really hard for Kalin to form any real theories.
Within seconds, Kalin found himself against the wall as Zania and this new Viridian closed in.
“They’re all so small!” She remarked. “I’m not sure I’ve ever seen an adult Viridian this small.”
“I have,” Zania commented, “but they definitely aren’t common on Varia Prime.”
The older Viridian continued to stare at Kalin, but her words were addressed to Zania, “what have you been doing with him?”
“Mostly just kicking his vulnerability orbs.”
“His what?” The answer had clearly piqued the curiosity of this new visitor.
A sense of helplessness welled up quickly within Kalin, and he couldn’t help but jump to pleading. “Zania, please!”
Zania’s gaze shot down to Kalin. “Hi, human, I’m showing you to my friend Zephiya. Try not to interrupt.”
“What do you mean by vulnerability orbs? Is this what Lady Vizora found with the human diplomat?”
“Yep, they’re these little orbs right at a confluence point that are extremely vulnerable. That’s why we’ve been calling them that.”
“Zania-” Kalin began, but was cut off as Zania moved towards him. She grabbed his wrists, raising them above his head and pushing him into the wall. She let out a laugh as she raised her knee, albeit gently, between his legs. She barely connected, illustrating the precision with which she could move her massive form. Her golden eyes looked down at Kalin, communicating to him that she was definitively in control here.
“Oh,” remarked Zephiya, “of all the confluence points, what an unfortunate one to have such vulnerable physiology at!”
“I know!” laughed Zania. “Zara discovered them by accident the second we saw him. We’ve had a lot of fun investigating the limits of what he can handle. They do this thing where liquid comes out of their eyes when they’re overwhelmed. Zara kicked him like 500 times in the space of a few minutes and we had to give him a lot of water to recoup the lost moisture.”
Zephiya erupted in laughter that took a few moments to subside. Zania did not move from her position over Kalin. A smirk spread across her face each time Kalin nervously looked up at her, the force of her gaze almost forcing his eyes away.
“What do you call the vulnerability orbs, alien?” Zephiya inquired.
“The most common word would be ‘balls’, but there are a few,” he piped up, sheepishly.
“Oh, so, they *are* for playing with!” She chuckled.
Kalin let out a panicked yelp. “What?”
“In our culture, a ‘ball’ is something used for a game or a sport. So, they must be intended for amusement, then,” Zephiya mused. “Can I try them out?”
Kalin murmured nervously, as he was still pinned to the wall by Zania, her knee still gently reminding him of how poor his negotiating position was. “Um…”
“It might be difficult while I’m pinning him to the wall like this,” Zania joked, “but he would have too much room to get away from him if I let him go. I suppose I’ll have to let him go.” Zania released Kalin and stepped back, but before he could make anything of his limited freedom, she added, “computer, restrain the alien – wrists and ankles.”
As had happened once before, restraints materialised around Kalin’s wrists and ankles, and pulled taut. A vaguely Viridian sounding voice returned some for of acknowledgment, but Kalin couldn’t make heads of tails of it. “What did it say?”
“It just acknowledged us. Why can you understand us but not the computer? I thought you were speaking our language.” Zephiya replied.
“The low-grade telepathy of the vines on this planet seem to share intended communications. I guess telepathy doesn’t work on computers,” Zania replied.
“Computer, raise the alien up to make eye contact with us.”
With a jolt, Kalin soon found himself suspended with his arms and legs spread nearly two feet off the ground. “Please don’t hurt me.”
Zephiya stepped forward, her fingers outstretched, dancing down Kalin’s torso towards their sensitive targets. “That wouldn’t be any fun, now, would it?” Sweat beaded on Kalin’s forehead and his heart raced in anticipation. His breathing quickened and he struggled to bring it under control.
Kalin winced as her hand neared its target. The wincing was premature, however, as Zephiya’s first action upon reaching the area was simply to feel around. No iron grip crushing the life out of him and no fist slamming into his tender area, mostly just fondling. “Oh, I see. I think I’ve found them. These two feel almost disconnected from the body, they’re the things he’s getting the most nervous about. And then there’s a third thing that doesn’t seem as interesting.”
“Yeah, those first two are the fun ones,” Zania chimed in.
“Well, then.” Zephiya remarked, as though her hands were more bound than Kalin’s. “I suppose I should see what they do to you.”
Kalin shook his head in an act of pleading as Zephiya withdrew her hand. Smiles spread across both her and Zania’s faces.
Zephiya’s hand returned promptly. Her open hand struck Kalin’s testicles hard, offering nowhere for them to retreat. The impact, despite seemingly just a casual slap from Zephiya’s perspectively, was no less profound than any other blow a Viridian had delivered to the area. Waves of pain radiated out from between Kalin’s legs. He struggled fruitlessly against the restraints, but to no effect.
Kalin tried to muffle his own reaction in the hope that an adequately subdued reaction might not be entertaining enough to encourage a follow-up. Unfortunately, he quickly saw from the way they both threw back their heads in laughter, that possibility was not really on the cards.
“Oh, wow, such little effort and it really knocks the wind out of him!” She marvelled.
“I know!” Zania replied. “I love how it makes us feel so much stronger than him!”
Without another word, Zephiya withdrew her hand and returned it with a hearty slap to Kalin’s testicles. And then another. And then another. Pain flowed through his whole body in waves as Zephiya’s excruciating percussive symphony overwhelmed his senses.
“Describe the pain!” She demanded as the strikes stopped. Kalin began to return to his senses.
Kalin had rolled his head back as he’d tried to cope with the pain, but she Zephiya hadn’t gotten a response, she had grabbed his hair and angled his head forward to restore eye contact. Without breaking eye contact, she delivered another slap to Kalin’s groin. It jolted the last of the breath from his lungs, and he struggled to breathe back in.
She stepped back. Zania and Zephiya both crossed their arms as they surveyed the results of Zephiya’s handiwork.
Zania whispered something in Zephiya’s ear, but Kalin couldn’t make out what it was. Zephiya let out a laugh at it and nodded.
“Ok, human,” Zania began, why don’t you just tell Zephiya you want her to stop and she will.”
“Please, Zephiya, I-”
Before Kalin could muster another word, however, Zephiya strode forward and delivered another rock hard slap between his legs, and then another and then another. He couldn’t form a single sound as the slaps continued to land, shocking whatever control he might have had left over his body out of him.
“What was that?” Zephiya mocked. “I can’t hear you.”
Through the pain, Kalin could barely make out the laughter of Zania and Zephiya.
After less than a minute, she grabbed his hair again and made him look her in the eye. “Are they really so sensitive that you can’t even communicate anymore?”
Kalin could only muster a short wheezing noise.
This seemed to frustrate Zephiya, whose fingers curled into a fist clenched tightly around Kalin’s balls. “Answer me!”
Kalin wheezed again, nodding desperately.
“Wow, your species are so pathetic.”
Kalin nodded again, desperately hoping not to offend or provoke her further.
The nod seemed to amuse her, as she cracked a smile and turned over to look at Zania. “They make pretty good playthings, though.”
The door opened, and Zara strode in. “Are you in the middle of something?” she asked.
“No,” Zephiya replied. “I think I got a pretty good demonstration.” She released her grip on Kalin’s aching balls and gasped deeply.
“You gave a pretty good demonstration too,” Zania added.
“Do you think they’ll capture more of these?” Zephiya inquired, “I think they’d sell pretty well.” Zephiya looked over at Kalin. “I think most Viridians would enjoy having a personal human they could play with.”
Zania looked directly at Kalin. “We’ll see,” she smiled, her words functionally intended for Zephiya, but with a clear intention that they have weight for Kalin.
“Do you mind if I have some time alone with our human?” Zara asked the others as she strode past them, Zara’s impressive height dwarfing even these other two above-average Viridians.
“Zara’s going to break our toy if she goes too hard after that!” Zania chuckled.
Zania and Zephiya started to move towards the door. “I really should be getting ready to fly, anyway,” Zephiya replied. “Thanks for showing me your alien.”
“Did you get good data?” Zara asked them.
“Nah, we didn’t record anything,” Zania replied indifferently.
“Shame. Please write up what you can from your experience for me to review.”
Zania nodded. As the door closed behind the others, Zara approached Kalin as he remained held up by his restraints. The height he had been raised to so that he could make eye contact with Zania and Zephiya remained conspicuously inadequate to make proper eye contact with Zara and she leant forward to look into Kalin’s eyes.
Kalin was still panting from his encounter with Zephiya, but something about the look in her emerald eyes suggested this was not just his next round of torture.
“Actually, I was hoping we could talk about something,” she said, a whisper of vulnerability in her voice.
