Can anyone recommend some present day lore?

Ive been getting into the 40k universe lately and most of the lore ive read up on is around the emperors rise to power, horus heresy etc, stuff that happened long ago. Can anyone recommend some lore or where to find lore on more present day stuff like around 40k-42k. I have no clue what the current state of the universe is lmao
