Lillith - Episode 14 - The Guardian Angel

Seraphina and the other teachers quickly left the room, splitting up throughout the building, each trying to think where Lillith could be. Morgana's concern had everyone on high alert. At the beginning of the hallway, Armand and Valerya dashed off, their quick footsteps echoing through the stone corridors as they searched for any sign of the young girl.

Meanwhile, Seraphina tried to stay focused. She opened a pair of solid wooden doors and entered the gym, but was surprised to find a lone figure: a woman with white hair tied in a ponytail, deep in the middle of her training. With precise, graceful movements, the woman executed spinning kicks that looked more like a dance. The sound of air cutting with each kick, followed by the thud of her feet touching the ground, created an almost hypnotic rhythm in the room.

Seraphina approached, calling out to the woman:

"Professor Mist, sorry to interrupt your training," she said, trying not to sound alarmed.

The woman paused mid-movement, grabbed a towel, wiped her face, and smiled gently.

"Miss Seraphina! What can I do for you?"

"We’re looking for Lillith; have you seen her by any chance?"

Mist frowned, thinking for a moment.

"I saw Lillith this morning; she was in the hand-to-hand combat class, but I haven’t seen her since then."

Seraphina thanked her with a nod, quickly closing the door and resuming her search. Mist watched Seraphina disappear down the hallway, shook her head slightly, and returned to her kicks, breathing deeply as she regained her focus.

**Meanwhile, in a distant hallway…**

Armand stopped, looked around, and entered an empty room. Closing the door carefully, he walked to the center of the room and sat down, crossing his legs and closing his eyes. He took a deep breath, and then, in one fluid motion, his eyelids opened as a mystical aura began to emanate from his eyes, glowing with a blue light. An Egyptian art pattern appeared around his eyes, and his vision seemed to expand beyond the room, scanning every detail of the school in a supernatural sight.

He saw teachers, students, and hallways unfolding before him like a vast panorama, until...

"Bingo!" he whispered, a confident smile spreading across his face.

Without hesitation, Armand stood up, ran to the window, and opened it in one swift movement. He looked at the long distance to the lawn below, shrugged, and jumped, the sound of his landing echoing: **THUD!**. A slight red smoke appeared beneath his feet, indicating he had used some magical protection to soften the impact. Even so, the jump from the third floor was impressive, and he sprinted across the grass toward some outdoor tables.

Armand spotted Lillith eating lunch, carefree and distracted. Without wasting a moment, he grabbed her arm.

"Lillith, we need you in Seraphina’s office now! Let’s go!"

She tried to protest, holding her tray with her other hand.

"But I haven’t finished my lunch!"

Ignoring her, Armand pulled her across the lawn toward the main building as she resisted.

"This is serious, Lillith, stop complaining!"

She kept grumbling until they entered the main corridor. Tired of being dragged, she suddenly stopped and shouted:

"LET GO OF ME!"

**SMACK!** She raised her knee and struck him directly between the legs, catching him by surprise. He bent slightly but held his composure, giving her a stern look.

"You… will… come…" he tried to speak, breathing deeply.

Surprised that he didn’t fall from the first hit, she decided to strike again with more force. **THUD!** This time, the impact made him collapse completely, falling to his knees as he coughed.

Lillith took a deep breath, surprised he hadn’t fallen with the first blow, but in the end, they were still testicles...

"That was for my lunch! Do you hear me? Never again…"

Before she could finish her sentence, a firm hand grabbed her arm. Lillith turned and found Valerya, staring at her with a firm expression.

"Ouch, my arm! That hurts! Let go of me!"

Valerya didn’t respond; her grip was much, much stronger than Armand's. She merely raised two fingers to her ear, and a rune appeared as she said:

"Seraphina, I’ve found the girl. I’m bringing her to the office."

Without ceremony, Valerya dragged Lillith down the corridor, ignoring her protests. As Lillith’s voice faded, Armand tried to pull himself together, coughing and leaning against the wall, his face still contorted in pain. He took a deep breath, feeling the pain pulsate through him, and finally got up, limping slowly toward Seraphina’s office.

--

The room was silent, the air thick with a nearly palpable tension. Seraphina, Lilith, Morgana, and Esmeralda were spread out in the corners of the room, their eyes fixed on Armand as he slowly walked in.

Armand paused for a moment, took a deep breath, and then met their gazes, giving a slight nod before moving to the center of the room. He briefly looked at Morgana, who stared at him with a steady gaze. Then, he turned to Seraphina, who crossed her arms and raised an eyebrow, waiting for an explanation.

"Alright, now that we’re all here..." Seraphina began, not hiding the impatience in her voice. "Tell us, Morgana, what’s with the urgency to find Lilith?"

Morgana remained silent for a moment, breathing slowly, as the room seemed to hold its breath along with her. She then raised her hand, palm facing upward, and murmured some ancient, barely audible words. Suddenly, a translucent sphere with golden chains around it appeared above her hand, floating gently. Inside the sphere, an orange smoke churned, thick and vibrant. At the top of the object, a holographic image of Lilith's face began to appear, hovering over the sphere.

The reaction was immediate: Seraphina muttered an almost inaudible “Oh… crap,” while Armand put his hands on his face, rubbing his eyes with a look of deep concern. He let out a heavy sigh, visibly tense. Lilith looked around, confused, trying to understand the meaning of the sphere and the tension that had overtaken the room.

"Uh... what’s this? Why is everyone worried? And why is my face there?" Lilith asked, a hint of irritation in her voice.

Armand composed himself and looked directly at her, his eyes serious.

"Guardian Angel Spell," he replied, keeping his voice low.

Lilith blinked, confused.

“It’s the first spell we usually learn when entering Rank-S spells,” Armand continued, now looking at the sphere, observing every detail.

Lilith stayed silent, watching the orange smoke, trying to grasp its meaning. Esmeralda, also unfamiliar with the spell, asked:

“Okay… and… what exactly does it do?” she asked, still staring at the object with a skeptical expression.

Armand didn’t bother to look at her but continued explaining.

“It’s a spell cast on someone you want to protect… you choose the person, and with some DNA sample, the spell activates. As we can see in the simulation above, the chosen one is Lilith. And given how many times Lilith has been in Morgana’s house, it shouldn’t have been hard to get a hair strand of hers, for example…”

Morgana stayed silent, her eyes fixed on the sphere, her face unreadable. Armand then added, his voice heavy with seriousness:

“Although the spell is for protection, it’s not classified as a defensive spell but rather a temporal spell… The Guardian Angel is an entity that exists simultaneously in the past, present, and future, and its unique role is to alert if the target of the spell is in any type of danger. The problem is, it never reveals exactly what the danger is or when it will happen.”

The women in the room turned their gaze to the floating sphere, with the orange smoke swirling slowly inside.

“And how does it alert?” Esmeralda asked.

"Through the colors of the smoke inside the sphere," Seraphina answered, her voice low but firm.

The orange smoke pulsed in the sphere as if alive, its rhythm steady. Armand took a deep breath and began listing each color.

"White indicates complete safety." He paused. "It’s almost impossible to see. I’ve never witnessed white smoke."

“Green is safety. No real danger, just minor scratches at most,” he continued, maintaining a serious expression. “Yellow is a mild danger level… the kind of risk someone might face getting injured in training or in everyday situations.”

Armand paused before continuing, his tone more somber.

“Orange… is a constant danger…”

His words hung in the air, laden with tension. Lilith felt a chill down her spine as she looked at the object with a fearful expression.

"The person needs to stay alert because a great danger is around them. It could be an enemy… or something that could end their witchcraft career."

Lilith swallowed hard, still not fully understanding but feeling the gravity of the situation.

"Red," Armand continued, "indicates a lethal danger."

He paused, his gaze intense, before concluding:

"And finally, black. Black means certain death."

Esmeralda leaned forward, disbelief clear in her eyes as she observed the orange sphere.

“So… does this mean Lilith is in danger?” Esmeralda asked, her voice barely a whisper.

“Orange is very rare, Esmeralda…” Armand replied. “Even for witches on dangerous missions. Normally, the smoke stays at most yellow…”

He took a deep breath and raised his hand, murmuring an identical spell to Morgana’s. A second crystal sphere appeared in his hand, encircled by golden chains. A hologram of Emma’s face began to emerge, hovering above the sphere, as smoke started to form inside.

“That’s why seeing orange is a serious concern, after all…”

Before he could finish the sentence, the smoke in the new sphere turned orange, just like Morgana’s. Armand’s face paled, his eyes wide, unable to hide his surprise and apprehension.

The women in the room fell silent, watching the scene, perplexed. Lilith and Esmeralda seemed frozen in place.

“Emma…” Armand murmured, almost in a whisper, as he stared at the sphere in his hand.

Suddenly, his expression shifted, and a desperate urgency took over his face.

“Damn it!” he exclaimed, breaking the room’s silence. He turned and bolted, his steps echoing down the halls as he ran at an impressive speed. He dashed down the stairs, skipping steps, ignoring the curious glances from students he passed, focused solely on one thing: reaching Emma.

Armand raced down the corridor toward his office, his feet pounding the floor. He finally reached the door, bursting it open, his breathing heavy as he looked ahead.

“EMMA!” he shouted, his voice echoing through the room.

Emma was calmly arranging some papers on his desk, looking up in surprise at his distress.

“Oh, hi, professor. Can I help you?” she asked, not understanding the situation.

Armand looked at her, relief and terror mingling on his face. Something was clearly wrong. He felt it in his very soul, but he had no answers. How could it be? Lilith and Emma were in danger according to the guardian angel, but at the same time… they were calmly walking around the school...

He took a deep breath, still trying to make sense of what was happening.

“There’s something wrong in this school…” he murmured to himself, his gaze fixed on Emma as he tried to process the situation.

Okay, you have no idea how scared I am of making this story "more serious", I'm trying to take it as a story "WITH" ballbusting, and not necessarily a story "OF" ballbusting... I hope the readers understand my choice, but dont get me wrong, there will be A LOT, AND A LOT of ballbusting, I think it would be impossible not to have it in a universe like this haha, well, from now on I can put your ideas into practice, so feel free to comment!
And don't worry about saying something is bad or anything like that, the book is open, we need to write, I may make mistakes, but they can be corrected!

Thx for reading!
