Re-downloading after some time away

After readying about EOS I was going to down load the game now and try and keep it installed for as long as possible. And I have some questions:

1. They said something about keeping your data, how would I do this?

2. Are they planing to make it offline?

3. If I keep it installed would I still be able to keep my data characters, pfp, teams and so on?
