Would me, an asian male wearing box braids be offensive to African culture? (In the far FAR future)

Or is it just other people/cultures (specifically white people from the stuff I’ve seen but that’s just prejudice so I’ll take it with a grain of salt) being too reserved and not knowing what cultural appropriation actually is and why it’s bad?

Honestly? I feel like it probably wouldn’t and it would just be other people being too scared of accidentally being racist but yeah.
