I thought I found my Unicorn. The ternence JRH Metal cobra. After trying a knock off cobra, my wife liked the shape and I liked the feel. But with the provided rings, I kept slipping out of the 48 mm (Python rings? The wide ones that are semi-flat at the bottom) the lefty kept making a break for it.

I ordered the ternance, JFR metal version of the same cage, which worked, but kept slipping out of the 50mm ring. I downsized the ring to the 45 (circle) and it worked great. I’d also ordered the 45 curved ring, and it didn’t work. Everything turned purple and red quickly and I couldn’t quite get the cage on. So my body seems to be ok with round….

No slips - for 8 weeks, and then suddenly 4 in about a week! And now the cage clinks a little bit and seems looser. I can also get a full erection at night and wake up feeling the pull on my balls, and it’s definetly pulled away from my body. During the day, I have to regularly pull/adjust as the top of my sack seems to pull through a little bit and the whole things seems to slide down a bit.

So my questions -

1) is this a quality issue with Ternence? Did something bend just enough, and is it a regular issue with metal cages.
2) should I size down to 40mm base ring? Or order another 45 with strap hooks? But am I going to be facing the same issue again later? I like the feel of metal, but if i have to replace it every 8 weeks, it’s cost prohibitive..

My other option I’m seriously considering is going to an actual kink3d cobra. But while there rings aren’t the flat/python style, they aren’t round.

A cage with a 45mm ring and a 40mm ring is about 250. I’m thinking of ordering the 45 in regular and the 40 in the curved. But I’m not sure. Add to this, that the sale at Mature Metal and I can get the jailbird micro for 280 - and now I’m not sure which to do?

What are your thoughts on the sizing for kink3d?
