Season 4 was a Is pleasant surprise

Watching season 4 honestly felt like Prime The Bear content. I feel like it did a really nice job of replicating some of the drama and family feels of the earlier Seasons without feeling like it was flanderizing itself too much. I also think that a lot of the fair criticisms of the last couple of seasons were pretty well remedied in this one. It was fun and the way that the characters acted felt incredibly realistic like I don't think there was ever a point when I was watching the show when I was like oh my God why would they do that. Like all their motivations were super in tune with who their characters are as people. And also to compliment at all the real gems of personal episodes focusing on characters like Sydney's episode with her cousin/ niece. Give way to some really touching Insight not only about Sydney's own situation and decision she was facing but also like Through The Eyes of a child and the importance of when you're a kid being really seen and heard. And then the wedding episode showing Richie's struggle with being a supportive father while at the same time allowing Frank to be a supportive stepfather. A lot of the time when shows show Blended families they make everything a big insecurity battle but I think they should do a really good job of showing that at the end of the day their goal is to show up for their daughter. I also felt like the presence of the Fak's was way more tasteful in this season as opposed to season 3 where they were kind of getting old. I'm still not a big fan of them specifically as characters but I think that's kind of how families are like you don't have to have everyone be your favorite person so I think that kind of adds to the realism of it in a constructive way. I'm honestly really excited to see what happens in season 5 and I think they've set it up in a way that doesn't feel like it's too stretched like there's an end in sight and then season 5 is going to be working towards that end. I guess I'm just wondering if anybody else thinks differently like where would you rank this season in respect to the other seasons and where would you like the show to go is there anything you'd like to change or do you think that they're on a good path.
