How is the Proship Discourse in this sub productive at all?

Ok i just wanna preface by saying I'm am 100% for Proshipping, don't like don't read ect, dead dove do not eat for the win ✊🏿. That being said I have a question for tbis subreddit that I've been thinking about for a while. Whats up with the Proship/ Anti Discourse tag? I don't really understand why its needed most longtime consistent AO3 users evebn more so the ones on reddit (No disrespect but yk its true) tend to be more chronically online and well versed in this age old internet discourse. As a result they tend to be more open minded and be Proshippers themselves. And everytime I've seen a post on this sub the comments are in agreement on repeat. "Anti: Rahhh boo proshippers bad, pedos, creeps eeew. Comments: Ho Ho Baby's first fandom, kids these days need to learn fandom etiquette, job well done guys commence the circle jerk!" rinse and repeat. Is it like a safe space thing cuz so much of the internet is so Anti heavy? This isn't really like a criticism i just think its kinda funny and im curious as to why it happens so much 😭.
