Brother’s Dilemma: Chapter 4

**Brother’s Dilemma: Chapter 4**
*By: SoleMann*

Okay… come to your senses, that was months ago… there’s no way you can still be smelling her socks… it must just be my overactive imagination combined with sleep deprivation… or maybe a result of lingering traces of what they injected me with before the surgery… in any case, I got to clear my mind… now where was I…

She cleared her throat, which broke me out of the trance I was in over her socked feet. When I looked up at her, she had this Cheshire cat grin on her face. “I guess I know what to do to get you in the proper condition for your exam in two weeks.” My face must have turned bright red and once again she gave me that reassuring look. Don’t be embarrassed, she said, this is more common than you might think.

She then slid back into her crocs, stood up and told me I could change back into my clothes. Just before she was about to leave, she reminded me that I needed to make a follow-up appointment in two weeks, and to be sure to bring a parent or at least one family member with me so we could go over home recovery procedures together. Since it was an outpatient surgery, home aftercare was extremely important and it was best to have someone who was actually taking care of you who knew what needed to be done, just in case you got distracted again. She then gave me a wink. She told me to also make sure to get these tests done before my appointment with her, and tossed two scripts on my lap, which of course brush against my still exposed head. Now hurry up and get dressed, your mom’s waiting for you, then she disappeared out the door.

I got dressed as quick as I could, given my situation, headed back to the lobby and set up my appointment for roughly two weeks. We figured since we were already in the building that we’d just go to the other side of the facility and make the appointments for my tests while we were here. On the walk over mom was curious what test they were having me take. Since I could never make out doctor scribble, I just handed her the scripts. She looked at them for a second, and then told me that I needed to be more careful when someone gave me important papers, since I got some sort of liquid on them. I was mortified, they must have gotten some of my man juices on them when the doctor carelessly tossed them on my lap. I just put my head down and started to walk a little faster to try and avoid the embarrassing situation. Unfortunately hearing the clickety-clack of her heels on the tile floor behind me wasn’t helping.

The next couple of weeks were pretty much uneventful. I went and got my tests done, simple blood work and one of the tests to make sure I was physically fit and my heart was up to taking the stress of surgery. Luckily, neither test made me expose myself to any more of the medical staff.

I still had to choose someone to go with me, since the doctor was rather adamant that I bring someone to go over homecare with. Per usual dad was going to be out of town for that week, something that seemed to be occurring more frequently and for longer periods of time. On one side it sucked that I didn’t get to see dad as much and I was pretty much growing up in an all female household. On the plus side, dad was loaded and we led a pretty good life, in a good size house with a pool, and regularly went on out of town vacations. I often wondered if dad’s money was as much a factor as mom’s youth was in them getting together.

But back to my decision process, I first considered having Steph go with me, since she’s in school to be some kind of nurse. Plus since she’s not related by blood, it wouldn’t be as awkward as having one of my other sisters there. Unfortunately with her crazy nursing hours, I couldn’t guarantee I could get in touch with her if I needed something. Plus she might already have some idea of what needs to be done, so she could be like my backup plan. Now although they would probably be more reliable, I just wouldn’t feel comfortable sitting in a small room discussing what needs to be done to my junk with my other sisters. So I decided that once again mom would be escorting me to the doctor’s office.

The day finally came for my appointment. Mom poked her head in my room to let me know that it was time to go and that she’ll meet me in the car, and don’t forget to hit the head before you leave. I was like, really mom? I’m old enough to know to go before I leave. So while mom went to get the car pulled out, I went to use the facilities, then left through the attached garage, headed out front, closing the garage door behind me.

As I walked to the car, I kept half an eye on the garage door to make sure that it closed properly. I popped open the passenger door and hopped in, only to be greeted by a voice from the back seat.

“Hey bro…”
