can i still get bedrock edition for free if i had bought java a long time ago and didnt get bedrock back then?

so since christmas is coming i decided to pay for a server with a friend of mine,only problem is that he playes on ps5 and im on pc.But i found out that we can play together only on bedrock edition,and i also found out if i had bought java i could get bedrock for free/it came for free

BUT i bought it like 6 or 7 years ago (not a joke,i actually got it then) and i only paid for java and got java,no bedrock

so can i get bedrock now for free or do i have to pay
