Brother’s Dilemma: Chapter 11
**Brother’s Dilemma: Chapter 11**

I had just finished groggily pulling up my sweatpants when the privacy curtain flew open and they all came filing in. The doctor informed my mom that the surgery went as well as to be expected, and that she just wanted to touch base with us once more before she sent us home. She told us about removing the compression bandage and how the bandages needed to be changed every 24 hours for at least the next two weeks. She reminded us that due to the location of the incision, it might be awkward or difficult for me to do this myself - especially if the bandages stick to the incision. Mom smiled and said it was a good thing the doctor gave my sister Steph off for the next week, so she could help him out with that.
She turned to me and said. “Isn’t that right?”
Still feeling a bit calm and compliant from what was in the IV, I just nodded my head yes.
The doctor continued telling us that the sutures would self-dissolve and start falling out in about 4 weeks, so no sports or physical activity during that time or I could rip the stitches out and cause problems. Also, given my past history, it would be best if I remained on bed rest for at least the first week or two. The entire healing process could take six to eight weeks or more, given the way she had to do the procedure. And most importantly, until it fully healed, I should not masturbate or have any sexual activity, as that could rip out the stitches and things would get really painful and messy, not to mention cause things not to heal up properly. So barring any complications, that would probably be for at least eight to ten weeks.
Holy crap! So that was the rest of the conversation I had zoned out on that day at the doctor’s office when I had been fixated on Lexi’s feet. If I’d only been paying more attention, I might have opted out of having the surgery done, or at the very least, had them schedule it for sometime late in the fall, rather than missing out on the prime barefoot action of the summer. Normally I might have spoken up about this turn of events, but I was still a little out of it between the surgery and medication they had given me.
As the doctor escorted us out of the office, she handed mom a couple scripts and told her she could stop and have them filled on our way home. Mom asked if it was something important or if she could just pick it up tomorrow when she had already planned to be at the shopping center on that side of town. The doctor assured her it was nothing that necessarily had to be taken today. One was just some pain medication, incase I felt any discomfort down there, and the other was an antibiotic, but what they gave me during the surgery should hold me until then.
She smiled and looked at me. “You don’t want mommy to have to go out of her way today, when she can just pick it up when she’s out that way tomorrow, right?” Once again due to the meds, I just nodded compliantly. “Good, then it’s settled. I’ll just pick them up while I’m out and about tomorrow.”
It was a quite surreal ride home as my mind mulled over the events of the surgery, the fact that Steph assisted, all the complications if I wasn’t extremely carefully, not to mention my now over two months of mandatory post-op chastity. The silence was interrupted by Lexi getting a call.
“Hey Brit. Everything went as planned, the surgery went well, and he’s resting in the back seat now. Well, most of him anyways.” Grinning, she turned towards me. “Sorry big bro. Too soon?”
Lexi then finished her conversation with Brit, telling her that we’d be home shortly and she’d let me know. Lexi told me that Brit felt bad that she hadn’t been around much the last couple of weeks due to finals at school, but now that she was off for the summer, she was on board. In fact, she even took the initiative to ensure everything was prepared for me once I got home by stripping my bed, putting on clean sheets and pillow case, adjusting the TV so I had the best view from my bed, and moving a couple of couple comfy chairs near my bed so they could watch shows with me. She even went so far as to make sure my game controllers were fully charged and on a tray with the TV remote that could be placed near my bed, as well as closing the curtains in front of the patio door so the sun wouldn’t bother me while I rested.
Once we arrived at home, Brit dashed out of the house to greet us, and both her and Lexi helped me out of the car and into my room. While Brit helped me get settled into my bed, Lexi ran off to make me some chicken broth which she said would be gentler on my stomach after having surgery. Afterwards, they decided to hang with me for a little and watch a movie. Brit said she thought we should watch something I’d already seen just in case I dozed off in the middle, and that she already had Spiderman cued up in the player and ready to go. As expected, between being worn out from my traumatic day at the med-center and the warmth of the chicken broth in my belly, I barely made it halfway through the movie. The last thing I could remember was both Lexi and Brit, slouched down in their chairs so they could stretch out their legs and rest their feet on opposite sides of my bed.
And that leads up to where I am now, lying in bed being randomly jolted awake all night from the pain down there. This has only been intensified by my mind inexplicably wandering off to my sisters’ feet. Maybe it was because the last thing before I dozed off for an hour or so was their feet resting on my bed. But that wouldn’t explain why I swore I could actually smell their feet at times during the night. That must be due to sleep deprivation from only catching roughly an hour near the end of the movie, before the last of the anesthetic and meds from surgery wore off.
So now here I lay exhausted, with the light of dawn approaching, and just sneaking past the top of the curtains. The shadows from the trees are swaying back and forth in the wind. My eyeslids weigh heavily as I slowly start to finally drift off…
