Brother’s Dilemma: Chapter 16
**Brother’s Dilemma: Chapter 16**

As I’m finishing off my last couple bites of breakfast, Brit comes strolling into my room.
“You miss me?” she says all cheerfully.
This takes me a little off guard, because she is being much nicer to me then she usually was. Maybe she actually feels a little sorry for me and what I’m going through.
Before I have a chance to reply, Lexi joins us in my room.
“You all fished with that?”
“Yes, and I’ll be sure to tell mom what a great job you did making me breakfast.”
“What a little kiss ass,” Britt teases.
“Not yet, but the day is still young,” Lexi laughs.
What is going on here? Am I dying or something? These two usually aren’t this playful around me. Maybe collage is having a positive effect on Brit.
“Hey Brit, while I go take care of his dishes, why don’t you setup his gaming system and we can all play a little.”
“Sounds like a plan.”
Lexi heads out to the kitchen with my empty plate, as Brit gathers up everything we need to start playing.
Once Lexi returns they each take a seat in one of the comfy chairs on either side of my bed.
“So, what did you two settle on?”
“I thought we’d start out with one of his favorites, Mario cart.”
Wow, can’t believe she even knows what my favorite game is. Of course I shouldn’t be too surprised, she’s seen me playing it plenty of times as she walked thru my room on her way out to the pool. We then all sat back and played a couple rounds, or maybe I shouldn’t call it playing since I pretty much slaughtered them in it.
“I win again.” I shout triumphantly. “This isn’t even a challenge. Why would you choose to play a game with me that you suck at?”
“Don’t be so cocky.” Brit retorts, sounding more like her usual self. “We’re just being nice and letting you win because you just had surgery yesterday.”
“Whatever.” I say a bit full of myself after the butt whooping I just gave them. “Just admit it, you suck at this game and couldn’t beat me even if you wanted to.”
“Oh, really?” Brit states, “Then how about you put your money where your mouth is.”
“Sure, how about if I win you do my chores for a month, and if you win I’ll do yours for a month.”
“Well, that’s a sucky bet. You’re in no shape to do any of our chores, not to mention we’re already doing most of yours while you’re recovering.”
“Fine then what do you have in mind smarty pants?” I snap back. To be honest, our bickering now felt more natural then the way she was acting towards me earlier.
“Well, it has to be something simple that we can all benefit from.” Lexi chimes in to break the tension. “I’ve heard you complain about how your shoulders get sore and cramped when you’re gaming too long. I was thinking, since that’s pretty much all you can do for the next couple weeks, how about loser gives the winners a massage.”
“Hmm… that’s not a bad idea, but like you said, I’m gona be cooped up in here for at least a couple weeks.”
“Okay smarty pants, then how about loser gives the winners a massage until you’re off bed rest, so let’s just make for the next month. Deal?”
“Deal!” and we both fake spit into our hands, and shake on it.
We all grab our controllers and get ourselves psyched up to play.
“I can’t wait till I win and get my shoulders messaged.” Lexi brags.
I hit the start button and the clock begins to count down for the race to start.
“Forget that,” Britt says. “My dogs are barking from my walk this morning, I want a foot massage.”
She then props her bare feet up on my bed just off to my side near my hips. I look down at her lovely feet that are still shimmering from the sweat that built up on them. Based on how glossy they were, it was quite obvious that she hadn’t worn socks during her little walk.
“No fair,” Lexi replies. “Now I want one too when I win.” And she props her feet up on the other side of my hips.
“Hold on. No one said anything about a foot massage.” I panic.
“BEEP!” Suddenly the races starts and the girls are off.
