does doom the dark ages have a traditional story mode or is the stoey "go in there kill all the mosters,leave,repeat"?

so on steam doom TDA is 26 euros down from 80 euros (the normal edition) and i wanna know if it has a good and traditional story (traditional eg spiderman,god of war,rdr2,ghost of tsusima,has npcs to talk to etc).Is it like go in that area,kill those demons,return,repeat or does it have actual missions?
