[Hated Trope] The "good" main character is so mean/annoying that it nearly ruins the whole show
Most tv shows and movies generally portray the main character/protagonist as someone to root for, even if they have flaws. Usually they have times when they make missteps but realize how they did affects others and fix things. However, sometimes they are written to act so unlikeable/out of line or are forgiven so quickly that it feels forced and they become hated even more.
Caillou - Caillou is the main character of a kid's show and is supposed to be a cute innocent child, but throws so many fits and is so mean without being punished that it became a meme to hate him on the Internet.
Tooth Fairy - Dwayne Johnson is a famous hockey player that secretly is forced to become a tooth fairy to make up for being mean to a fan. Although he is initially easy to "root" for, later on he is so mean to his girlfriend's son that he breaks his own guitar and she immediately breaks up with him. He eventually comes to and fixes things but that scene was so bad i really hoped he would fail and lose her.
Valentine's Day - Patrick is usually loved, this episode is an exception. SpongeBob's surprise for patrick hits a snag so he tries to give him a handshake instead. Instead of being grateful for at least being taken to the amusement park, he completely destroys everything and nearly kills SpongeBob and others before Sandy comes in with a gift at the last second. He "forgives " SpongeBob but he is the one who should be apologizing.
