So not like the Sonic movie where Sonic has no idea how he’s alive after smashing through a tank. (He’s a super powered hedgehog capable of moving at light speed. It’s conceivable)
Emperor’s New Groove, ambush scene - possibly the first case of this trope, Yuma and Kronk ambush the emperor in their secret lair despite having taken a longer path in their initial pursuit. Surprised, the protagonists question how they got ahead of them, and Yuma is momentarily stunned, even questioning her less intelligent companion Kronk how DOD they do it who admits by all accounts it doesn’t make sense.
Captain Underpants Movie, tiger prank - towards the beginning of the movie, Frank and George a couple of trouble making elementary school kids are confronted with a montage of pranks they performed. Among which was one where they somehow managed to acquire, transport, and lock a tiger in a classroom. Confronted with their crimes the two rejoice, one saying “And the tiger! How did we even do that!?”
