Evil Future Heroes

This is a trope I've always thought was super cool.

**Danny Phantom:** After his friends, family and teacher all died in an explosion, Danny, a half ghost superhero, gets taken in by the show's main villain, Vlad Masters. Vlad preforms a surgery on Danny intended to remove human emotion by tearing the human and ghost halves apart. However once Danny's ghost half was free, it tore Vlad's own ghost half out, and fused with it. The new Dark Danny killed his human half and went on a destructive rampage across the world. By the end of the special, through a lot of time travel stuff, Danny fights his evil self and saves all of his loved ones, with Dark Danny trapped by Clockwork

**The Unbelievable Gwenpool:** Gwen Poole was comic fangirl turned mercenary after landing in the Marvel Universe. After a number of adventures she encountered her brother, Teddy, who she had thought was still in the real world. Teddy then trapped her in a fake real world with the help of a group of future heroes, including Miles Morales. Miles explains that at some point, Gwen has a massive shift in opinion on the heroes, and reveals all their secrets, creating a third Civil War, which among other things resulted in Miles's family getting murdered. But this future Gwen, with the meta based powers she had developed, came through Miles's flashback and killed him. The past Gwen, horrified, refuses to become a villain, erasing her future self from existence, but at the cost of canceling her own comic, though the finale note is a hopeful one.

**Darkwing Duck:** Darkwing Duck is a superhero, who despite his large ego, is generally still a good person, and a especially caring father to his adopted daughter Gosalyn. However in a battle with the villains Megavolt and Quackerjack, the two of them and Gosalyn were sent to the future, where Darkwing had become Darkwarrior Duck. Darkwarrior's former sidekick Launchpad explains that when Gosalyn vanished, he had assumed she has run away. He was in a depressive funk for a while, but eventually when he resumed crime fighting, he went to new extremes, killing his villains, and later on arresting everyday people on the streets for minor annoyances, before finally taking over the city to enforce the law with an iron fist. Even Gosalyn's return wasn't enough to bring him to his senses, refusing to let her return to the present and fix things, instead hoping to use the time machine to enforce his laws on all of time. However at the last second he hesitated to kill his own daughter, allowing Lauchpad to take him out long enough for Gosalyn and the villains to return, setting everything back on track.
