Wife flicked my scrotum

The other day my wife lubed up my scrotum and then flicked my testicles repeatedly with her middle finger. Oddly enough, the direct hits to the center of one of the nuts hurt, but not as much as the glancing flicks that made impact and then slid off from the lube.

Anyone else have experience with this? Why is the glancing hit hurt worse? Just curious mostly.
