🎉 RedQuill Updates - Week of March 22, 2026
# What's New
**🔍 Component Discovery Overhaul**
We're making it easier for you to find the Components you use and like! You can now filter by All, Popular, Owned, Recent, and Favorites, so getting back to something you used before is way faster.
* Favorites let you bookmark components you love
* "Recent" sticks to the top so your last-used stuff is always handy
* Search results are more scrollable with better layout and no more text getting cut off
We are still working on more Quality of Life improvements to Components, so stay tuned and give us more things you would like for us to fix.
**🤖 Character Chat**
We also added a **Chat button** on components, so you can now have a standalone conversation with any Character. Fair warning, this is brand new and is rough around the edges. We want to see whether this could be fun for you.
**🎭 What Kink Are You? Quiz**

**Other Updates**
* **Kink Madness** is live! Bracket-style voting with auto-advancing rounds and countdown timers. [Check it out and vote](https://www.redquill.net/kink-madness)
* **Language selection:** You can now pick your preferred language
* **Emoji avatars:** Default avatars are now fun emoji icons on tinted backgrounds instead of plain letters
* **Replies & reactions:** Comments now support emoji reactions and threaded replies, Reddit-style and more expressive.
# Community
1. **Seeking RQers interested in community, writing, authorship and AI:** We're looking to build out more community involvement, and are exploring whether having volunteers or paid part-time help from our RedQuill community could be a good idea. **If you are passionate about writing fiction, creative writing with AI, helping others with tools or anything community-related, please comment or DM me** u/mythical_writer. I am looking to schedule direct conversations with those seriously interested starting next week.

**Components, components, components.** We are focusing small paper cut improvements and other changes to make them WAY easier to use. We've been working with some RQers in our Discord server, but want to hear more about where things are frustrating.
