🎉 RedQuill Updates - Week of March 29, 2026
# What's New
**🧩 Components: Easier to find, Easier to use**
We've been focused on making components smoother to work with, and this week has a bunch of improvements all at once.
* On mobile, the component list is now a cleaner single-column layout so you're not accidentally tapping into things while scrolling
* Components you've already added to a story won't show up in your suggestions anymore, so no more duplicates cluttering things up
* Search and suggestion panels got a round of fixes for better responsiveness overall
* Clicking a story idea now opens the create dialog pre-filled with that idea, so you go straight into writing with your components ready
We're still working on making it easier to add components into chapters, so keep telling us what's bugging you or what would make your workflow better.
**📖 Chapter Titles & Navigation**
Chapters now have titles! They're auto-generated as you write, but you can click to edit them anytime. Titles also up in the chapter selector so you can find what you're looking for at a glance.
This was one of the most common asks we've been hearing, so let us know how it feels
**✍️ Rich Text Formatting**
You can now format your story text with bold, italics, and more. We know a lot of you have been wanting more control over how your writing looks on the page.
**🔧 Reader Display Settings**
You can now customize how you read - adjust the display to your preferences right from the reader.
**Other Updates**
* **Lorebook access on stories** There's a new Lorebook button in the story reader (or hit Ctrl+L) for a quick-reference view of your story's components while you write
* **Comments:** You can now leave comments on story ideas and components
# Community
**Seeking RQers interested in community, writing, authorship and AI**
We're looking to build out more community involvement, and have started to look for volunteers (of course, in exchange for Quills and ability to shape the product) to help with community programming.
