Why are Reddit mods like that. Every interaction I’ve had with them involves them arbitrarily enforcing an ambiguous rule, then getting mad at any criticism and claiming that I’m “spamming” them, then muting me to stop conversation. Why do they do this job if they’re unwilling to actually justify their reasoning? And this just seems to be a broader issue with internet volunteers, where their goal becomes flexing their muscles rather than actually achieving anything positive for the community.

I don’t really feel like the lifestyle tag applies, so apologies for the poor tagging. Wasn’t sure what would work better
