# Wait, what's Duet Mode or "Collaborative Stories?"

Duet Mode is a way for you and another RedQuill user to co-write a collaborative story together. Each chapter is a turn, and you and your partner will alternate writing one story together. It's a fun way to explore together and get new ideas through collaboration.

What you need:

* A friend, a strange, a nice brave RedQuiller who will give you their username
* Invite that RedQuiller to make a Collaborative Story via "Collaborative Stories" on your side bar, or the "Collaboration" tab on the Create Story module
* You will get notified whenever it's your turn
* Check your status in your "Collaborative Stories" space
