American South apartment rental

Hi redditers! I am a Canadian in Toronto. I would like to get away for about a month or two. My situation is I can leave this place right quick. So I would love to migrate south for the winter but I can't afford the vacation hotspots like Florida. I would love to visit South Carolina or some place nice like that, can be a small town. I know someone in Florida who I can borrow a car from for about 3 to 4 weeks.


So it can be a small town, but I do need high speed internet access. I need to be productive during the period. I should add I am a virile youngish male specimen, sensitive and a very nice person.


Please point out some locales or even rentals I can get. Small town is fine, I was thinking South Carolina, Georgia or Alabama or even MS. Obviously Cali and Fla are out of my price range. AZ or NM I don't know too much about. I guess Texas is sweet also. I would love to land a job while I am there. I am in IT btw and intend to use the down time to retool. And relax. I will have a schedule so I don't relax too hard :)
