Pvp question

If I am searching for an invasion, can I see red soapsigns or does the game have them disappear while i’m searching. I’d like to have the chance to jump into a duel if possible. I’m a high SL so I know invasions are few and far between so I was just wondering if searching cancels my ability to see summon signs. Thanks!
