Should I invest in a gaming PC?

I’ve been a console gamer since I was a kid, never really played games on pc other than the odd sims or roller coaster tycoon. I love the elder scrolls games but I’m realizing by playing on console I’m missing something from the game, being able to mod games and fix bugs with console commands I feel like would have improved my Skyrim experience. But on the other hand I don’t know what else I would play on pc other than Redfall were I to get a PC...

So what do you think? Is it a good idea to get a PC before redfall comes out? I realize that’s probably a couple years off but still
