Would you get confused if your man spanks you for pleasure AND discipline??

Normally I spank my wife for pleasure only, we both enjoy. But lately she is so much of a brat that I've been considering doing it for discipline too (she deserves it). My only fear is that she will then stop enjoying or pleasure spankings. Anyone with experience here?? Any recommendations on how to do both things without problems??
