Chapter 1: The Lore of Creation

Disclaimer: Why are you here? What you’re about to read is completely ridiculous! If you don’t know what I’m talking about go back and take a look at Chapter 0. If you had any sense, you'd refrain yourself from reading any of the silly musings written by this boy. He tried to freeze me in the previous chapter, but I can be pretty sneaky too. -Logic-

 

According to the lore of my people, in the beginning there was only One. The only “thing” that existed was existence itself. Let me explain. Before there were galaxies, stars and planets, there was One. Before the atoms and particles that make up everything we know, came into existence, there was One. That One, existed before energy, space, or even time itself! We have a name for this One. We call It, Aham. It was, and Is, the source of everything and anything! You may wonder why something of such cosmic significance is referred to as, It. You see, the One we call Aham cannot be perceived or even imagined by our primitive human minds. How then, do we refer to It as a He or a She? How can we confer a gender upon That which is impossible to Know? So, with much regard and respect, we refer to That as It.

Let’s dive deeper..

So, what do we know about Aham? We know that It is the most intelligent force to ever exist. I mean could It have initiated the very process of creation itself otherwise? We know that everything, from an atom which is the very building block of our perceivable universe, to dark energy which is currently perplexing the minds of world-class quantum physicists, came from It. We know that It is not a physical phenomenon. It’s not something that can be measured, regardless of how powerful and accurate our technology becomes. Many other beings from realms unknown to humans, with far superior technology have tried to study It, but have failed miserably. I mean they were destined to fail, weren’t they? How could tools, irrespective of how sophisticated they are, expect to measure That which is the very source of creation itself? We also know that every permutation and combination of all the possible occurrences in this seemingly endless universe already exists in a seed form, within Aham. In other words, everything that has happened, is happening and  that will happen, has already “happened”. Pretty straightforward stuff really. We could go on talking about It for days, but we’d never get anywhere. I know that’s not why you’re here though. Let me just tell you one more thing I thought you might find fascinating. Aham is meticulously involved with Its’ creation. What I mean to say is that, It perceives EVERYTHING. From the blooming of a flower to the death of a fly, nothing misses Its’ gaze. Yes, It even sees you when you’re beating up your tied up balls for your pleasure.

So, there’s this omnipotent, omnipresent being somewhere in the sky? No, It’s not somewhere in the sky. Come on, catch up. It’s all around you! It’s within you! And yet, It’s nowhere. That should clear up all of your questions. Still, I’m sensing a lot of confusion. I should’ve known that this would be too much for you to grasp. Don’t blame yourself though, you were conditioned not to understand It. It’s going to take more than a paragraph to undo the conditioning you’ve been put through. You’ll get It one day. I promise. For now, just keep this in mind. Aham has no interest in what you do, really. It is a compassionate and loving presence, even to those who can’t feel It. I hope that my assurance puts your mind at ease for now. How do we know all these things about It? That’s a story for another day.

 

So, what does an eternally ecstatic, formless and ageless being do? The lore goes like this. After many, many billions of years, of being blissfully absorbed in Itself, It in Its’ all-creative mind decided to entertain Itself. Why, you ask? A more appropriate question would be, why not?! But how do you entertain yourself when the only thing that existed until that point is You? Aham then decided to create! The first thing It created was time. With the creation of time, the basis of creation was set. Look around you. Everything you see is rooted in time essentially. Time itself is cyclical in nature. Birth is the start of a cycle and death completes the cycle. Day is the start of a cycle and night completes the cycle. The moon cycles around the earth, the earth cycles around the sun, every object in our galaxy cycles around a super-massive black-hole, and all the trillions of galaxies put together is an ever-expanding wheel! Next, Aham created space. Yes, the basis of creation was set by time, but what’s the point if there was no space for creation to occur? Could you put on a play without a stage? A stage was necessary for Its’ plan to unfold. Hence, space.

Everything was going according to plan. With the set and setting for creation to happen ready, Aham needed characters. Who would be entertained by watching an empty stage, with no actors? This stumped Aham. Until now, It was the only thing in existence, for It was existence itself! This Thought so invigorated Aham, that out of this excitement, energy was born! The energy that burst forth from Aham were of two types. We call Them Shi and Sha. From eternal oneness, duality was born. This energy was not apart or separate from Aham. In fact, They were Aham Itself manifesting in different forms. Unlike Aham, Which was completely formless and non-physical, Its’ energy was physical in nature and seemed to carry a form, despite being extremely subtle. Now, seeing that everything necessary for creation was in place, Aham took a back seat and embraced Its' role as The Watcher. The Watcher then mildly shielded Itself from the Gaze of Shi and Sha, and sat back to watch Its’ creation unfold.
