Question about disabled account

So I made a second Instagram account (finsta) but didn’t really post much at all. The couple of posts I did have were a bit suggestive tho certainly not pornographic in any way. Regardless, when I went to switch into that account from my regular one there was a pop up saying the account was disabled and I had 30 days to appeal. I clicked on the option to learn more (which was the only one) and a new pop up sprung up asking for a contact number if I want to log in to Instagram.

Is this normal? Should I assume that if I provide my number (the same I use for my main account) that I’ll be able to log back in w no problem? Is it worth it giving that number and logging back in or will that lead to closer surveillance of my account/matching one account’s identity with the other?

Any and all responses are appreciated.

Thanks y’all
