Protective Cup Buying Story

Quick real story from a couple years ago that actually happened to me.

I was 25 at the time. Started a martial arts class and needed some gear. I never played sports before so this was all new to me. The class provided all sparring gear except an protective/groin/athletic cup. Luckily there was a martial arts shop walking distance from my apartment which I figured had cups. I stopped one afternoon to the local shop and was greeted by the clerk. Asian woman probably upper 30s very cute and friendly.

She asked if I needed any help. I was really hoping it would just be male employees as I didn't really want to chat with a woman about cups but she appeared to be the only working employee in the store.

I said "I need an athletic cup for karate". She said with a smile "ah yes of course! very important piece of equipment! no problem follow me". She then took me over the back of the store where there was a whole wall of cups. I must have had a confused look on my face or she just assumed I had no idea what I was doing because she just started to explain everything.

"So I need 2 measurements from you, your waist size and cup size. We have Youth, Teen, Adult and Adult XL cups."

"I am a 32 inch waist" I replied.

She said "Okay! So since you are an adult let me hand you a medium jockstrap with adult sized cup." She showed me the fitting room and said "go ahead and try it on over underwear and see if it fits or if you need upgrade to the adult XL cup, ill be up front if you need anything else."

I definitely felt a little embarrassed but whatever I went into the dressing room. I tried the cup on and it was massive compared to my dick and balls. There was so much room it just looked like a massive bulge but inside was way too much room and it would slide around. Thus defeating the purpose of a cup.

I thought to myself if the regular adult was too big the adult XL would be a total joke. Guess I need the teen size. I put my clothes back on and went to grab a teen cup. Luckily the clerk was with another customer at that moment so she didn't see.

I looked at the teen cup and it was so small, flat and pathetic compared to the adult and adult XL cups. Once I tired on the teen size it did fit better but was still a little big. Honestly, the youth cup might have fit the best but I couldn't put myself to do that. I figured this was close enough let me pay and get the hell out of here.

When I left to go pay I did notice a male employee walking toward the register and thought "Perfect! I can go to him and avoid the cute asian girl" but suddenly the female clerk said "Oh good are you all set I can take you over here!"

I walked up to counter super embarrassed holding my teen size cup (that honestly is probably too big). Thinking well maybe she wont notice. She said "everything work out in there? sorry I was with another customer" I said "yep fits great all set" She said "awesome!" and began ringing me up.

When she scanned the package I saw her look at the package and go "Ohh hmm..." and gave me a look. (ill never forget that look) She said "wait did you grab the wrong one this is a teen size cup for 12-16 year olds". She said it in a super innocent and genuine way like I made an honest mistake.

"oh umm no that is right I tried that one on and it umm fit the best compared to the others" I said

She smiled almost made like a laugh smirk sound but quickly caught herself and said "oh okay yeah no problem its all about making sure the fit it right. That is the most important! dont worry about it" then proceeded to cash me out.

When I left, the customer behind me was clearly a mom. She gave me this smirk like she heard the whole thing and was like "wow what a loser"

I avoided that store like the plague in the future never went back but that was super humiliatingly. My fear was someone in class would find out I had a teen cup but luckily that never happened. As far as I know lol
