End of an adventure
I am at chapter 699 of the original manga and just about to read the 700th chapter, and it's such a weird feeling to complete the original manga run of Naruto. I started reading in late October-Mid November before taking a short break in the middle of the Tsuande arc, I continued reading in late November-Mid December before once again stopping this time at the end of part 1 of Naruto.
It wasn't until late January I started reading again from the start of Shippuden/Naruto part 2 and now I'm at the end.
I did the same with One Piece as I shotguns through the first 300 chapters in a month. Took a small break, than zoomed to the start of Wano before taking a 4 month break than I caught up to the current chapter of Wano (at the time) in 2 days.
Though this feels muxh different, I think it's because with One Piece I was able to read the next chapter 3 days later but with Naruto......this is the end, there's Boruto and filler arcs and movies but for the most part I can't continue this story. There's no more of the original run of Naruto after this chapter I'm about to read, and I feel somewhat empty about it.
I guess I'm not sure how I'm supposed to feel.
While I donr want to get into my opinion on the last couple arcs, I will say that Naruto definitely deserves to be one of the most iconic and loved manga series in the world. I had one heck of a time, and now it's time for me to close this adventure by reading the last chapter.
