Why didn’t we match the Hawks offer?

Genuinely curious. Why do you guys think we didn’t match the Hawks offer. We still have all our picks and could have gotten Murray under our TPE so the Spurs wouldn’t even have to take salary in rerturn. And Hawks are set to be a good young team as well so it’s not like the picks they got are a lot more valuable than ours. It seems like Murray could have really helped us. That seems like a low return for a young all star, one we could have easily topped.

So what do you guys think? Did Brad think it was a bad fit? Or DM is overrated as a player? Or asking price too high?
