VIT: How hard is getting CSE in Vellore campus actually?

People online say all the time that we can get CSE in vellore quite easily, by paying fees in higher categories.

I want to know the actual reality, my marks would probably be below 100, so I think I might fall into category 2, or even 3. Would I just get to choose what campus I want and they will tell my category fees automatically? Or would they allot me another campus? Would I have to do some other unusual thing (other than counselling) for the CS in different category?
