Did you always like your Femdom Gentle?

Hello everyone! Just a question as it says on the tin- did you always like your femdom gentle, or did you approach it from a different perspective?

I ask because I started from the perspective of someone with a strong fetish for trampling- I had assumed that with the thirst for bloody violence came the need for aggressive femdom. But I recently met someone really amazing, someone kind and thoughtful and although she was/is quite a strict disciplinarian and very sadistic, I found myself really drawn to her playful and lighthearted side.

My difficulty was that although I love play with her, I had difficulty with the criticism. It made me feel like I was constantly in danger of really upsetting her or losing her. With hindsight I can see that it was meant playfully, but at the time, it felt so real and immediate. We’ve had a big chat about it and she advised that I was maybe looking for something a little more gentle in tone, which led me here. So that’s my question- how many of you came from other styles of kink, and if so which ones?
