Behind the shoot retrospective: the VK cover model
So, at this point velvetkick was humming action wise and we were cranking out shoots at a good pace. However, there was a certain sexiness that Scott felt was lacking in the site models. We loved what Roxzana was doing over in Russia - Scott was getting some of their clips on the VK site and they were performing very well. I secretly wished I could hop a plane to Russia to film with her - I know Scott tried to get her to come to nyc which I think happened at some point.
Anyway, Scott went to work and started to find industry models (I think it was a combo of backpage, Craigslist and some word of mouth he used). Some of them were smoking hot but had never kicked a guy in the groin before. Regardless a pipeline of sexy models was in the works.
This model (apologies I don’t remember her name) felt more secure having us shoot at her friends apartment in midtown Manhattan to be more discreet and she was also wary about showing up at a public studio space with strangers. So off we went.
Apartment shoots are definitely a wild card. Most nyc apartments have poor, halogen lighting which doesn’t film the best, even on HD cameras. Also cramped spaces make for limited area to work, between the lights and camera positions.
At first it was a bit of a struggle to find the lighting. Also, while she was smoking hot she also never had done an ounce of ballbusting, so we needed to run her through the paces. Even with her strong legs she was having some balance issues kicking in heels. We had to do a few retakes when her kicks weren’t strong or sharp enough (she was worried about hurting me) or she lost balance after the first kick and we stopped filming. Nonetheless we proceeded.
Finally she got comfortable hitting me and also feeling more sturdy. We took lots of pics so there were breaks in the action, which wasn’t all that intense in the first place.
I do remember having to act a bit to show like her hits were effective. We were encouraging her but she was just a bit hesitant throughout. At one point we had considered her friend to jump in but she was camera shy.
My pain tolerance was still off the charts so unfortunately her kicks were barely registering with me. So we focused on getting clean action since she was showing extremely well in the camera. At one point in the shoot she was standing over me and I told her to pretend I was an ex or a creepy talent agent and not to hold back. She literally dropped down on me with her knees which definitely hurt.
Fortunately (or unfortunately for me lol) Scott needed to retake it as he missed the full impact of her dropping on me (which is probably why you’d notice that scene filmed from a slightly different angle). I think we did it 3 or 4 times and each one she caught me square with her knee. She apologized after but I was in heaven. Her legs were solid and her landing on me was so sexy. Finally she had loosened up.
To be honest, I barely looked at her while filming and think I kept my eyes closed or focused elsewhere most of the shoot. Case in point the photo above. Her outfit left very little to the imagination and she was so gorgeous it felt very rude to stare. Especially with her leg lifted like that and resting on my crotch.
But the camera loved her and we probably spent more time taking pics than filming. I was actually a little embarrassed because she was so gorgeous and we were doing these suggestive poses. It took me a while to get comfortable holding poses as well to be honest, I was much more comfortable getting kicked. However - the pics were so amazing and she photographed so well, and well, obviously this particular pic became the main image for the velvetkick website for years to come. With my eyes completely closed 😀
Despite the struggle to get solid ballbusting action, this shoot opened the door to other gorgeous models to enter our shoots (like the black bikini clad one and katja). We nearly pivoted away from using dommes at this point and focused on getting fashion models to participate.
Personally, it was more authentic and fun to work with a newcomer. Despite them being ridiculously sexy to look at, the joy in their faces after they started to get the hang of it was worth every second. That said, we barely had any repeats of these models though - some charged too much based on the action that was actually captured. And some just wanted glamour shots and pics and not to actually ballbust/hit us. But when you got lightning in a bottle it was worth it - and this shoot specifically paid off in the long run.
