Behind the shoot retrospective: the powerful kicker
In this shoot the female model (apologies forgot her name) had never kicked a guy in the groin before. She had replied to one of Scott’s ads on Craigslist looking for self defense models.
It took a while for her to balance while kicking and she definitely was being cautious about wanting to kick me hard and hurt me.
After a few minutes of light action Scott implored her to not be so timid. I did as well, encouraging her that it was ok.
We did a few kicks where she balanced by holding onto the wall and that seemed to get her confidence going. Eventually she got into the groove and we even did some kicks with just my boxer briefs.
She definitely had strong legs and those heels had a solid wooden toe so it didn’t take much to make an impact. A few times she got me good which I think she secretly loved.
We didn’t end up using her again so I think this was her only shoot. But certainly it was another example of a female building confidence as the shoot went along and then creating something fun and engaging as a result.
