Behind the shoot retrospective : Spikey step - Luna
Scott (Velvetkick) and Andrea (Spikey Step) were early collaborators in the ballbusting scene, with both of them appearing in some of the earliest ballbusting videos I can remember from the mid 90s.
Andrea was definitely a hardcore icon, taking lots of physical abuse on his slender frame. He was also one of the first I remember being whipped or slapped with shoes, he truly took a beating every time he stepped in front of the camera.
One day Scott had asked if I could help Andrea with a shoot. At that point he had a few models that were regulars at Spikey Step but they were taking huge beatings and Andrea needed some fresh blood.
Showing that I could take the abuse and at the height of my ballbusting “career” I was loaned to Spikey Step for a few videos. At this point Andrea was living in Italy but would come back to nyc for a few weeks and would produce as many shoots as he could with the nyc dominatrixes. He would rent out the mistress dungeon all day, and would shoot 4-5 videos in a day. So he told me to be prepared to be there for at least half a day.
My first video with Spikey Step I went to one of the NYC dungeons and a shoot was already in progress. I could hear the screaming coming from the other room and I was immediately overwhelmed by the intensity in the air. I met a few of the women and off I went into another room.
Two of the women I met I was already familiar with ( Remi and Luna ) as I previously did shoots with them at Velvetkick so I had a little comfort knowing I was in good hands with the pros. However unlike our Velvetkick shoot, Luna told me that this was much more demanding and she would have to show me no mercy. Hearing the screams coming from the other room I definitely believed her.
At first the action was tolerable. Hard kicks and knees from Luna and the other female (I believe Lydia was her name). Luna had incredible skill when it came to ballbusting. Accurate, sadistic in a small petite frame - she truly didn’t give a fuck about hurting you but did it with a flirtatious sparkle in her eye and smirk that made you want to forgive her.
However what came next definitely transcended anything I had experienced up to that point.
I was laid out on a table and Luna had asked if I ever had gotten hit by a rubber mallet. I said no and she was like ok well I’ll make sure I go easy on you. The cameras turned on and one of the models sat on my chest and Luna went between my legs. Her first hit with this rubber ball thing definitely stung me. From there I was in the most agonizing pain I had ever felt. This thing was just so brutal to be hit with. There was no give to it and she was hitting me square in the balls. I tried to tap out and you can see me begging her to stop. I even tried to get the other woman off my chest.
It wasn’t the hardest I’d ever been hit but this thing was so painful that it by far hurt worse than any kick or punch I’d ever received at that point. I’d rather have been stabbed with a stiletto than be hit by this.
Andrea begged me to take more damage and Luna pounded me a few extra times. I definitely had watery eyes and we had to take a short break afterward.
Luna was definitely not apologetic lol but I did apologize to her and Andrea for having to cut that scene short. I don’t know why but that thing just rocked me. My balls literally felt like they were on fire and going to burst. It was the first time I ever felt in danger during a shoot.
To give me a break they brought the other male model in and Luna absolutely destroyed him, ripping his pants with her heel and pummeling him. I was tapped back in and at one point both of us males were on all fours and other female models had joined the shoot and were kicking us from behind. One of the models kicked me so hard from behind that my life flashed in front of me and I nearly blacked out. At that point my balls were so hurt that even the smallest hit felt magnified. I was laid out on my stomach for a good five minutes or so and wondered if my balls were still intact.
At the end of this shoot we switched shoots and Andrea asked if I could do an appearance in a trampling video. I hadn’t done much trampling but participated and the other male model they brought in for this was absolutely destroyed by the women. I was off to the side watching and the girls were scrapping their stilettos against his skin and he was screaming. I turned to the camera man and was like absolutely not for me and we were in disbelief.
Andrea joined the shoot for a bit and it was good to watch him in person but they were just carving up his skin with their heels. It was by far the most brutal thing I’d witnessed at that point.
In total I was at the studio for about 6 hours. The girls were hungry and getting agitated and definitely talking it out on the models. Certainly a long day for everyone involved.
Spikey step was a far different experience than velvetkick productions where we would normally wrap things up within a few hours. While i appreciated the amount of work and effort that went into the Spikey step production process i definitely preferred the more laid back experience and approach we were doing at VK. But SKS was super intense and if you’ve seen any of their videos you can definitely feel the vibe they were going for.
After swearing I’d never do another Spikey Step shoot I did go back a year later for a shoot at the insistence of Andrea which i definitely regretted as well (I’ll share that story next).
