Compatibility vs worth

Something that kinda grinds my gears in online D/s culture is that when a Domme struggles to find a submissive it is discussed as an issue of compatibility, whereas when a sub fails to find a dominant, it is discussed as an issue of worth. Has anyone else noticed this discrepancy, or is it just me?
