Wasn’t sure where to ask this.

Is there a rule that prohibits Catholic clergy from having beards? I notice that Rabbis, orthodox Priests and imams all seem to have big bushy beards, and Protestants preachers tend to be a fairly mixed bag, hut I’ve never seen a catholic priest or Lutheran priest with one. Is this a rule? A social norm?
